This is an awesome value. It works great!
SUCTION GIVES OUT
Love it
OK, so I have mixed feelings on this one so I’m going with four stars because overall I would recommend it unless I found something better. So I started off with a cucumber I suctioned the grater to my butcher block Island without any issues at all. It stayed suctioned without moving the entire time I cut both the cucumber and the radish. This was a positive.I decided to slice the cucumber and at first it was going pretty good. I kept even pressure throughout as I was cranking it when attaching the handle you have to clip it in when you’re putting the attachment you’re using on make sure that’s secure before you start spinning or the handle just comes off, but it does clip in place. You will see a white clip on the side of the handle. Back to the cucumber the slices are very thin. I would say maybe a quarter of an inch about halfway through cutting the cucumber. It started sticking in between the blade that was spinning and the grater case. It’s easier to see in the pictures so you can see where the peel and some the cucumbers slices are in between. Also, if you look in the pictures, there was a lot of juice from the cucumber that pulled at the base of the product when this gets in between the suction base and the actual grater there’s not really a good way to rinse it in between because the suction base doesn’t come off so at the end during cleanup I found that kind of hard. I’m worried that it’s gonna get really gross overtime in there. So about 90% of the cucumbers slices were good and it was super fast so I really did like that. Now moving onto the radishes, I used the cheese grater part for that, and I graded them very quickly, and I only had an issue at the very end where some of the peel stuck inside but also when I pulled the grater attachment out, I had to use my hand to scrape The radishes out just like you would a regular cheese grater.I didn’t have any blocks of cheese to try on this so I can’t speak to how it works on cheese.Overall, I would recommend this product the issues I had where I’m worried about the long-term cleanup at the base with any juice from items but if you’re using it mainly as a cheese grater, I don’t think that’ll be an issue. The section is excellent as long as you’re using a butcher block or something totally flat I did try to section it to my large cutting board and that did not work at all. I provided several pictures so you could see what I ran into.
