Soft, Airy, and Full of Charm

Pretty embroidery, stitched flowers need help

I work with occasional events and am often looking for pretty and unique table runners. This runner is pretty, feminine, but a bit fragile due mainly to the stitched-on flowers.The tulle background is soft, extremely lightweight, and doesn’t really show much color (though I did order beige - it is very light). The edges are rough cut but not too bad, mostly straight. Size is as advertised.I really like the embroidery on this runner.The little embroidered flowers are well done and give the dainty design that makes this runner stand out. There is also a green embroidery for the leaves that adds color to the runner. It is a cross between a darker sage and a grass green and I do like it.The stitched on flowers are my least favorite part; I think I’d have left them off and just do more embroidery. They are flat, plain, cut material that are stitched on with a single stitch. A couple came off right out of the box. Some were bent/folded and required a little light pressing to flatten them to their proper shape. Not sure how they will hold up to washing.I took one star off for the quality of stitching of the flat flowers. But I gave four stars as it is still a very pretty runner overall. Laid out on a table or draped, this runner does offer a soft, delicate appearance that can enhance your table decor.

Unfinished large piece of material

I think I would rate this 2.5 stars if that was possible. It is very pretty, but all edges are unfinished. It’s like they just cut it from the bolt of fabric and called it a runner. There is no finishing or stitching on any of the edges. Also, some of the areas of edging are raggedly cut.It is much, much wider than a standard runner, so I folded it in half. It’s also extremely long, so I cut it in half down the middle and got two runners out of it. If I were a great seamstress I would finish the edges with some ribbon, but I’m not that great at sewing.It does look pretty if you don’t inspect it too closely. And it also could be used for sewing or craft projects. But unfortunately it’s not an item I would recommend if you’re just needing a table runner.

Pretty, but a bit delicate

This pretty runner will look so nice on my Easter table. It’s simple and elegant. Size exactly as listed. It’s a bit delicate so be gentle; there are ruffly little flowers appliquéd on that are already falling off. Probably don’t plan to wash this and have them all stay on. But that’s not a huge deal to me. It’d also be lovely as a drape over a bed canopy or curtain rod.
