IT IS NOT A HEATING MUG!!

Preface: That reviewer was right: they have GOT to move that power button 😡 Every time I make a move, carrying it or holding it in my arm to do something, accidentally bump it with my finger, have it in my purse, touch it with something else - the thing starts up and scares the * out of me. Jeez. Ok I have a frother that does the whole LED color temp indicator but for actual HEATING functions and I actually thought that's what this was. It was going to be a perfect unicorn. A cordless heating stirring mug. But it does not heat. I was tapping and long tapping and double tapping that power button for 15 minutes before I crashed out and went to YouTube. The instructions and other reviews said nothinggg about the heat only being DETECTED by the mug and presenting as a temp indicator light on bottom of the mug. I wish it SAID *This item does NOT heat!* because the instructions literally list temps for the light that is supposed to come up on the bottom! Which is what misled me. Such a let-down. Bought it for nothing. I kept it for stirring which it does well. It is lightweight and the stainless steel inside is sturdy. It did take the hour and half to charge then the blue light went off and it was ready to go. I am absolutely afraid of dropping it - bc the outer plastic feels delicate and thin. So I know one drop would surely be disastrous. I followed the suggestion of another reviewer about inserting the straw upside down to avoid the flea. So far I made 14oz of Lipton instant "Green Tea with Honey" and the flea stirred it til completely dissolved. I got it to make my Kratom teas at work without having to plug up my liquid-heating container in a bathroom outlet next to people tryingto wash their hands. I guess I'll just use the work Keurig for hot water. 🥲 The search continues.

Updated Review: Hazardous, please redesign it

Update: I had to update this review. Because of the placement of the button (see note below), hot liquid has come flying out on multiple occasions. It gets everywhere and it's burned me a couple of times. I'm over it. I don't know if I'll be able to return this item, but I will try.Original Review: This self-stirring mug does exactly what it promises—it stirs. But it’s not a blender, so expectations matter.I originally bought it to mix protein powder into my morning coffee as a creamer alternative. It does okay for that, but protein powders are notoriously stubborn in hot liquids, and this mug just isn’t powerful enough to fully dissolve them. You’ll still end up with a few clumps unless you use a proper blender.Where it really shines is with things like hot cocoa, instant coffee (Nescafé, etc.), or anything that dissolves easily. For those, it mixes perfectly smooth.My main complaint is the design of the on button. It’s located at the bottom of the cup—right where your hand naturally holds it. I’ve accidentally switched it on several times, which can be a surprise, especially if there’s only a small amount of liquid left and the lid is off. In that case, the stirring can splatter liquid out of the cup. The simple solution is to keep the lid on when in use, but I like drinking with the lid off sometimes, so it’s something to be aware of.Overall, it’s a fun, handy little gadget. Just don’t expect it to replace a blender for protein shakes, and watch out for that button placement. If the button were maybe up near the handle or something then I think I'd give it five stars.

Very cool mug with a nice LED ring

This is a pretty nice self-stirring mug with an attractive design; it spins up quietly, and the insulated body makes handling hot beverages comfortable. The stir bar sticks to the magnetic bottom pretty well, but I'd be careful if you decide to drink from it without the lid. Cleaning this mug is pretty easy. I stick to handwashing since it holds a battery. Be careful not to lose the stir bar. I think the capacity is good for coffees and hot drinks, but it may be a bit small for other beverages you may want to mix. For the functionality and design, I think this is a fair price for a self-stirring mug.
