Great ceramic non-stick pan sizes with handles that don't require a bulky oven mitt
These pans come in useful sizes with a ceramic non-stick coating, which is my preferred type of non-stick coating. We wash ours by hand and they clean up very easily. I am a fan of handles that don't transmit heat so that I'm not taking an oven mitt on and off while cooking. These heat evenly and quickly which I verified by holding my hand over the pans while seasoning them with avocado oil. Also, we cooked swordfish steaks tonight and they were perfect. No sticking, cooked through and easy clean-up.Things for you to consider as your are shopping. 1. They do not come with glass lids. We have deeper skillets that do, as well as lids that can be used on multiple sized pans, so this was not an issue for us. I was mostly interested in having the ceramic non-stick coating. 2. You will put the handles on yourself. I've not ever needed to do this before. All that was required was my own Philips head screwdriver. Trust me, you won't want one of those free screwdrivers that get sent along with things, because you'll want to make sure that bolt is in there tightly and it's better to have a solid tool with a good handle that you can grip. You'll be happy to fetch your own for the job. Also, I would assume that this is done to reduce shipping materials, which I am in favor of. So while I thought it odd that I had to put the handle on, it was very simple and a completely reasonable thing to do to save waste. 3. The handles are not "traditional" looking, if you put your pots and pans on a rack for display. This could be a plus or minus, depending on your taste. I rather like the look. There's enough traditional in my kitchen that a new style of pan handle suits me just fine. I think they're pretty and again, love that they don't get hot.We were also happy with the silicone spatula/flipper that came as a gift. It has a pretty wooden handle, so you'll want to wash that up by hand too, but silicone is easy to wash and another material that is less toxic than heating up standard plastic spatulas/flippers, so a big win in my book to own one now. We are happy with these pans!
