    Fits my Oster 006878 40oz Blender!

    I have an Oster Core 16-Speed Blender [with Glass Jar, Black, 006878. Brushed Chrome , 40 Ounce] - my son and I both love smoothies but we tend to want different flavors and I put different nutrient-filled additives, so I really wanted a second pitcher.This fits the base perfect and makes smoothies just as well as the Oster Pitcher. I do feel like the glass feels less sturdy...but I also don't know if that's because I know it's off-brand and I just think it's cheaper? The spout is definitely flatter so doesn't actually control the flow of liquid as well. The plastic cap is WAY cheaper feeling and does NOT "pop" into the pitcher like the Oster one does - I'm nervous it will go flying off during blending so I hold onto it - hasn't actually happened but it's loose enough that I'm concerned.Would I buy again? Absolutely! Was so nice to make my son his typical blueberry smoothie the other day while I enjoyed a nice banana vanilla :)

    Great replacement for the original

    We love having a metal drive Oster blender. It's a great blender that we use every day to make frozen breakfast smoothies, so it gets a lot of use. (And I MUCH prefer it to the super-expensive blenders that my wife has insisted on buying over the years because they're the latest, greatest thing. Yeah... But that's another story...)Anyway, with that level of use, the components of this blender don't last forever, so it's great to have everything that comes in this package: the glass blender itself, the top, the blades, the O-rings, and the plastic bottom of the pitcher (which can tend to crack after extensive use if you twist it too tightly).All aspects of this replacement fit our Oster blender perfectly (and fit at least as well as the OEM pieces) and we couldn't be more pleased. This is a great purchase for people who want to keep their Osters going for years, as we do. Highly recommended.
