love the Juome 3D Mango Shape Cake Mold — 4 cavities for making adorable realistic mango puddings, mousses, or jellies! Fun for parties or kid treats — no odor, dishwasher-safe. Highly recommend for creative bakers
This mango mold would work for more viscous liquids, but it is ineffective for liquids such as gelatin. In this product's title it states that it can be used for jelly. As it can be seen in the photos, it leaks once it passes the halfway point, and will not effectively fill. The mold would hold together well enough for substances that aren't as liquid-like such as cake batter, but it is false in claiming that it would work for jelly. The molds also do not effectively work for jelly, because the jelly somewhat sticks to the sides. It pulls off in some places, but in other portions it would not budge. It can also be a bit difficult to clean if the liquid seeps into the divots where the mold is held together. This mold works, but not for all the uses that it claims to work for.
I made pancake muffins with blueberries or chocolate chips in the mango shaped cake molds and they turned out well. I just filled the bottom cavity with the batter and it rose to fill the top mold too. The tiny funnels are too narrow for batter. I could see using the funnel for homemade gelatin. The molds are too big for chocolates but they'd work for soap. I'm not sure the price is worth it. I'm not going to spend alot of time painting the end product to look like a real mango.

These molds looked really promising but unfortunately don’t fit together tightly enough to provide a seal for liquids. . I tried to fill them with a partially set mango gelatin, and it just leaked out the sides. Maybe a thicker liquid like pudding or batter would not leak, but then you may have a problem filling the mold. These holes are very small and even gelatin had to be poured very slowly. On the bright side, I’ll cover the holes and just use these to make half cakes. The molds are made. of a durable material and are sturdy.
I’m excited to try these Juome 3D Mango cake molds. I am making holiday cakes, and even though they won’t exactly fit the theme, I want to use them anyway. I like that the silicone molds are flexible, but not flimsy. They have smooth insides, and it comes with 4 funnels so you don’t make a mess trying to move the mall funnel from one cake mold shape to another. I love that the molds sort of clip together with the buttons, helping prevent batter from seeping. I would caution overfilling. These can also be used to layer desserts, like mousses and cremes. The funnel can help fill. I would also try these with chocolate. Since I haven’t tried them, I can’t recommend, but if they don’t work well, I will update my review.
