This is a great thermos. I tested the thermal properties of this thermos over the weekend and can confidently say it will keep hot things hot for several hours. I boiled water in my electric kettle, poured it into this thermos, and sealed it up. Pretending it was soup I observed that four hours later it was still hot enough to enjoy. 8 hours later, it wasn't hot anymore, but was still warm enough to eat without feeling too disappointed. The thermos comes with two utensils. A spoon, which fits inside the cap that doubles as a bowl, and a fork that has its own carry case. Both the utensils fold up in thirds which makes them super portable, but when they are fully extended they feel like any other full sized utensil you might use at a restaurant. My only gripe about this being a "soup" thermos is that it only holds 17oz while most "adult" sized cans of chunky style soups are 18.5 oz so you'll either have to buy smaller soups or pour what you can inside the thermos and eat the rest before you leave for the day. I also wish that the bowl was a little larger and had a wider base so I wouldn't have to worry about it tipping over. Otherwise, I think this is a good value and I have already used it to transport scrambled eggs and sausage with me to work for breakfast and enjoyed a hot meal a couple hours after I arrived. It made me very happy and I'd definitely recommend it as it performs well for what it is.

This thermos is plenty big to hold a big can of soup. During these cold days, it's nice to heat up your soup, pack it in this thermos and enjoy a hot meal during work. This thermos comes with a spoon that can be store on the stopper lid. The outer lid itself can be used as a cup or smaller bowl if you want to pour out your food to enjoy. There's also a fork that is included that comes with its own container. The spoon and fork are tri-fold to pack away nicely. The spoon is long enough to reach into the bottom of the thermos. I just wish it had a silicone tip so that you don't hear metal scraping against metal. That's a bit annoying.
