I purchased two of these and they are working beautifully to cover both sides of my sink to keep the kitties out of it. The rungs are coated with a product that makes them water repellant, so they don't show water marks at all which is really nice. They roll up very easily when you want to put them aside. Extremely happy with this item.
This roll up dish drying rack is the amazing kitchen item I didn’t know I needed so badly! My kitchen is a decent size, but my husband is an amazing, but messy cook and counter space is always of the essence. We used to just put hand washed dishes in the other side of the sink to dry, but if they don’t have something propping them up so that air can get underneath, they never really get dry, and when that sink is full, we used to have to put a towel or drying mat on the counter for hand washed items that wouldn’t fit in that sink…which takes up precious counter space. I never bought a dish drainer for my right sink, because I didn’t want it there 24/7 and I have no cabinet space to store it, but this roll up drying rack solved all my problems! I can still put some dishes to drain and dry in the sink and then put this roll up drying rack on top of that sink, giving me more room to dry dishes and keep our counter space free. The dishes actually get dried using this, because air can get underneath and then it rolls up, I secure it with a thick rubber band and store it in the cabinet under my sink and it takes up virtually no room. Initially, I was afraid that this rack might slip and a dish might get broken, but it’s very non-slip; it stays right where you place it!
Officially tried this out last night and I'm pretty sure this is my new go-to for quick dishes. Currently I live in an apartment with a limited amount of kitchen space and have been trying to find a way to maximize the counters. I had a dish drain that sat on the counter all the time but I didn't like how that meant I couldn't use that space. This is a great solution for that. Not only because you use it above your sink but also because it's so easy to roll up and put away!I think also the versatility of this is that you don't have to use it above your sink. If you have a double sink set up then that's ideal but if you don't this can easily go on top of a dish mat or even a tub on the counter that you can still put away when you are done.The rack itself it really well made. The silicone ends hold it in place once you set it down and I had heavy pots on there and there was no slipping or sliding around. The rack itself feels really nice. It's coated so that when I am done, I quickly just dry it off after the last dish and stash it away, no problem. You definitely can't do that with my old dish drain. It's pretty wide so I can fit quite a few dishes on it no problem. It's just me and my daughter who live together so we can usually wash and put away all our dishes in one go and this rack doesn't change that. If I had a few people over though, I may need to break it up into a couple of cycles of washing and then drying and clearing it off but that's not a big deal. I love the look of this too! I never thought I would find a dish rack to be stylish but this sleek grey design look really nice in my kitchen. I would not mind if it go left out when someone came over LOL. This will get a lot of use in my house. It already has actually and I've only had it a few days!!
I never thought I needed one of these until I got this one. I have all kinds of plans to use this to wash produce and dry big pots that won't fit into the dish drainer.What you get: You get a 17 3/4" by 11.8" collapsible dish drying rack. It rolls up into a 2" roll and stores away easily. It is lightweight but also sturdy and rigid once laid out. It fit over my kitchen sink quickly and completely without sagging or slipping around. In fact, it is a bit wider than either single bowl of my kitchen sink. It is easy to deploy and just as easy to stow. Its food-safe finish is easy to clean, either by washing, wiping or rinsing off. The coated aluminum feels space-age, though it really isn't. It does feel more expensive than it is, for sure. I was impressed and never thought I needed one. Now, I wonder how I ever got along without one. I keep smacking myself--I've seen these in boutique stores, online, on TV, at friends' houses. Why didn't I want one? Why?This is a great value! and worth every penny.
