I finally bought a very good set of German knives FOR MY USE ONLY in the kitchen. I already had a conventional knife block that holds the “ordinary” knives that others use, so I needed something small to sit beside it that would hold my special knives. I received this today and it fit the bill perfectly. It looks nice on my counter and takes up very little room, plus the rest of my family knows these hold my knives only and to keep their fat hands off! LOL. I love that it holds any shape and style of knife, and that there seems to be plenty of space to add to my collection. Clever conception and excellent product. I couldn’t be happier.

Its been almost 6 months of using the knife holder and I have been very satisfied so far. Even if I put quite a few sharp objects including knives and scissors, the holder remains firm and steady notwithstanding the shift in center of gravity.Insertion and removal is easy and I haven't had the need to clean it as the knives that occupy the holder are mostly clean. I love having an easily accessible clean place for my knives that keeps them sharp and out of the drawer! It is very stable and holds the knives well without falling over, and does not take up much room on my countertop (about 5 inches square). I have not owned this long enough to know how to clean it once it needs cleaned, but I can imagine taking the insert out and washing it in soapy water and letting it dry. The bamboo is a very simple, minimalistic design which goes well with my kitchen aesthetic. And the owner's story on the packaging completely melted my heart!! What a fabulous design - highly recommend!

Easy to use.
Overall, it holds multiple knives and some thin spoons. It is easy to insert the knives and easy to take them out. It’s small in size and fits well on the countertop.

Functional Attractive Compact
This is a great knife holder. To store or remove the knives, I have to slide it out from under my cabinet. However that's no more difficult than opening and closing a drawer. Maybe a slanted version would make it even better but I do like it as it is.
