The design is incredibly beautiful and delicate, with a gorgeous reflective wavy gold rim that gives the plates a luxurious, sophisticated look.The capacity of these plates is perfect — they are deep enough to hold a generous amount of fruit, yet still flat enough to serve sandwiches or appetizers. The thickness of the ceramic is just right: solid, sturdy, and premium-feeling, without being too heavy.They are also very easy to clean, which makes them convenient for everyday use.Just note that because of the gold rim around the edge, these plates are not microwave-safe.As you can see in the photos, they work wonderfully not only for fruit but also for hot dishes like potatoes or pilaf, as well as snacks, canapés, and anything you want to present beautifully. These serving dishes are perfect for any occasion! A week night dinner or a holiday party, either way they are excellent. They have held up through multiple wash cycles. I love the simplicity of the design as it fits in with almost anything in my kitchen. They are sturdy and not to dainty, providing the ability to serve a roast or a salad on them without any issue.
These look lovely out, being used, or even just on display. They are a great set and have been used several times since they were purchased. I've hosted a few luncheons for the holidays and they looked great. Not too heavy to lift and pass around the table if needed. Seem sturdy enough. Haven't put them in the dishwasher because of the gold on the edge.
I recently used the Kassel Ceramic Serving Platter Set at a small gathering and received multiple compliments, it’s the perfect size range for appetizers to dessert. The oval white porcelain with a subtle rim felt upscale and handled warm dishes straight from the oven, though the smaller tray can fill up quickly if you serve lots of sides.
I love these platters so much, I came back to buy another set and see that they now have it in an even bigger size - so I got those! To begin with I was going to write what a great size they are. I was worried it would be too small for what I need because most things I buy online are smaller than I expect but the opposite turned out to be true. The big one fits a nice sized brisket with baby potatoes and sauce around it. I was just hoping to have something that fit my brisket! I got the rectangular ones by the way. Also, it curves down enough on the inside so the sauce doesn’t spill over the edges. I want to point out that if you’re super picky about it not having imperfections, you might have a problem with it. Mine had a raised dot on one and the edge on one wasn’t perfectly straight but I only notice it when the three are stacked. These flaws don’t bother me at all and even if they did, I would overlook it because either way they look beautiful and function beyond perfectly.
