For whatever reason, I had to air out this table runner since it had a strong smell left over from manufacturing. One cold night outside seemed to do the trick. THis is a great runner, otherwise. Simple and well made. It has a nice pattern and is made of quality material.
My wife likes the fabric feel and weight of this runner. Stitching looks good with no loose ends or snags. While it would be great in lots of decor she's said she wants it to be a focus of her witchy Halloween look next year. I might have to get the coordinating napkins and/or placemats if she really gets into it.
This Kate Spade table runner is made of a thick material, almost like canvas but not as thick. Arrived fastened to a plastic hanger and when cut free, does have small pin holes but these are not visible when the runner is laid across the table. Massaging the material does help cover up the hole decently as well. The runner does fit nicely across my table which has 4 seats but can accommodate two additional seats if placed at the heads of the table. The runner has two black and white striped patterns - one bold and the other thin lines. The care tag easily ripped away without any damage or issue and the runner is completely interchangeable and can be flipped for a different look. Because the pattern is simple lines, it mixes and blends well with a variety of designs, including my blue polka dot sauce dolly. Does not require overlay of a tablecloth to enhance the space but does layer nicely with bold colors, even patterns.
An attractive table runner from Kate Spade that emanates a subtle glittery sheen, it measures out to about 71 inches which is perfect for the majority of dining tables. If there is any negative in its use, it's that the design offers a someone plain design, which could be great for every day use but lacks any festive theme for the holidays. Overall, it helps set up the table properly and the fact that it comes with two distinctive designs from front to back adds versatility. Washing up spills is also fairly easy.
This is a classy looking table runner. We are getting a new dining room table this fall, and it will look fantastic on it. As you can see from the photos, it is double sided - one with thinner stripes, one with thicker stripes.We will also be using this on our bar/counter when we have gatherings. It is the exact width of our bar and will be great to set dished on.We have not had to wash it yet. We have since steamed it and it is hanging in the closet. It certainly covers the length of our table with just the right amount of hang over on each side. The material is thick, quality cotton that just feels nice. The construction of the cloth is one that is going to last a long time.
I like the modern style of this table runner and neutral colors. The black is well-saturated and a true black / charcoal color on a very light beige (more off-white) background. The quality is really great and the double-sided fabric is nice and thick so it lays flat on the table. The stitching is also well-crafted and I know this will hold up to many washes.
This KATE SPADE Hand Painted Shirting Stripe Reversible Table Runner will give a wonderfully festive and elegant look to any table set for the Holidays. The striping is well defined and sparkling silver atop a crisp white cotton linen. Small stripe on one side, wide stripe on the other. The runner is a well stitched, double layer of material. Because of the hand painted stripes, it is not machine washable, but rather spot cleaned by hand as needed. So maybe not so much for everyday use, but a lovely decor for special occasions and Holiday season gatherings.
