Good for tea drinkers.
I’ve been using the Kawu Electric Kettle for a few weeks, and it’s quickly become my go-to for everything from tea to soups. The 2.5L capacity is perfect for making multiple cups or a small pot of porridge without constantly refilling. I really appreciate the temperature control—it lets me get precise heat for different drinks, and the touch controls are intuitive and responsive. The kettle heats up quickly, and the keep-warm function is a lifesaver when I get distracted mid-brew. Cleanup is easy since the glass body doesn’t retain odors or stains, and the removable lid makes it simple to rinse thoroughly. Considering all its functions—temperature control, timer, multi-use settings, and easy maintenance—it feels like excellent value for the price. This kettle has made daily tea and small cooking tasks so much more convenient. Looks great and saves space, you can boil and fill up the tea in one. You don't need a separate kettle. Very dangerous to use due to the burn issues and poor design.
Very dangerous to use due to the burn issues and poor design.The glass container has no safety mechanism to keep it from tipping off the heating plate while it is boiling or on the warm setting. The spout is unbearably hot to touch and impossible to flick on without using two hands: one hand to hold the glass component in place so it does not swivel the entire kettle; one hand to turn the spigot part of the kettle on, but then also needing gloves due to the burning metal, which is part of the process of turning on the spout to get any liquid. There is a steam valve on the lid and a bucket style plastic handle, which must constantly be kept aligned in order to avoid potential burns. The constant shifting issues can add another inconvenient and dangerous burn potential. The glass 2.5L pot will spin while the spout is pouring, especially as it continues shifting with 100 Celcius boiling water gushing out. It can happen rather quickly when you unintentionally avert your eyes at an inopportune moment. I find this has a high potential for injury because distractions like pets, children and phones can easily harbor any number of mishaps.Heating the pot is also, strangley, another disappointment in terms of ease of use,because the amount and duration of both water and time, respectively is ridiculous. It generally takes 7 minutes or more. There are only presets. If I thought I could just set the temp to whatever I want, I must use a preset menu, then go up and down endlessly pushing plus or minus and getting random results despite it all. The top of the kettle does not have a way to pour the water out because it lacks a spout on the rim of the glass, making it also trouble to safely discard excess liquids.There are no protective strips on the glass and it can only be held where the plastic sections are. The trouble is, it does not have a side handle that could easily address this. Therefore it can only be held by swinging from the top of a plastic handle that is inevitably set up for the steam holes in the lid to scald whatever bare skin it comes in contact with. And IT WILL come into contact with you. So be prepared to contend with that feature beforehand.The dispenser is useful for tea or hydrating noodles. And eggs can be boiled, as well. I had initally bought this for a French press coffee maker. It failed because I would have to stand there for several minutes waiting for the spout to finish pouring the water. Then the water might be too low towards the end and I would have to then remove the heating element from the bottom, then hold up the bucket above the French press by a flimsily attached plastic handle, which I could only grab from the bottom and basically dump it in, which splashes! Alas, I will go back to my tea kettle for coffee.I noticed the heating element was only boiling in a partial circle on the bottom of the pot. It looks like a crescent from the mineral buildup showing the pattern from where it has been. I'm not sure if that is part of the design function, but I imagine not. It indicates to me that there may be a problem with uneven heating or faulty electrical parts not fully functioning.Be careful. I wish I could return it, but I lost the box.

Nice and large water kettle
This 2.5L electric water kettle is large and appears well-made. We've owned several electric water kettles over the years so this comparison is mainly comparing this new kettle against our 2 most-recent kettles.Pros:I like how large and visible the inside of the kettle is. Previous kettles we've had were made out of metal so it was hard to see what was inside despite only putting water in, there would be mineral and scale build up that was hard to see. This kettle has a large handle and can completely detach from the base making it easier to transport and pour hot water when cooking. The contents appear durable glass, stainless steel, and plastic for the base. The metal spigot has a small screen filter and the spigot turns easily to pour hot water out of it.Cons:Despite the entire kettle being easily-detachable from the base, it also makes it a hazard for knocking over easily off of the base. The spigot is positioned about 2-3cm above the bottom of the kettle so there you won't be able to poor every last drop of water in the kettle, even if you tilted it at an angle. The spigot does not return to a closed state automatically so there is concern for leaks if you don't immediately close the spigot after use. Lastly, the plastic materials are not the best quality material that could have been used and may attract grease and oils from the kitchen that may not wipe off easily. I will update this review in the future if this becomes an issue.Overall, this is a decent electric water kettle with features to adjust the temperature which make it nicer than previous water kettles I've owned. The capacity is quite large and makes it easy to cook larger dishes that require a lot of hot/boiling water.
