I'm far from an expert on knives, but I have bought a number of them, from the super cheap sets, to something like this knife. It came out of the box amazingly sharp. It's well balanced, and I like the Naikiri style for cutting vegetables.It is my go to knife in the kitchen, and I bought a second one that's still in the box. Which may end up as a gift for someone who needs a good knife.

I use this knife for pretty much everything. I switched from the traditional Chefs knife and this knife is way lighter. Its sharp and cuts well through most things. It does lose its sharpness so you have to resharpen or whatever is called. Its for amateurs so relax on the highest quality part. I really like the product and recommend
