So far, so good!
I bought this as a gift for my husband for Christmas, but I have secretly used it. It works great so far and keeps the coffee warm. I would only use the lowest setting because the coffee can get pretty hot if you use a higher setting. I think I'm going to have to get one for myself!

purchased this heated mug specifically for desk use, and in that context, it mostly does what it’s intended to do. What initially attracted me was the large capacity, since I prefer a bigger mug that doesn’t need constant refills while I’m working.The mug feels solid and well-made. I like that the main body is not plastic, which gives it a more substantial, durable feel on the desk. The bottom has enough grip that it stays put and doesn’t slide around easily, and the overall design looks clean and modern. There are also several color options available, though I chose black and later realized I might have preferred a lighter color, like I am now drooling over the lilac colored one and wish I would have gotten it.The operation is very simple and doesn’t require an app, which some people will see as a plus for a work setup. I was comparing 3 different battery heat mugs and I decided to choose this one for the price and size. I didn’t want any apps on my phone to change temperature. This mug is great and easy to use. My goal was to drink more unsweetened tea and when my tea got cold I wouldn’t finish the cup. But now with this heat mug I’m having more than a cup a day. It’s so nice watching tv without the base and my drink stays warm. I keep the base on my desk so when I use the computer or play games I can put the cup down on it. I haven’t had the cup long enough to notice any battery issues but so far I’m loving my mug.

In changing my Ember review to a one-star after using Kepwam.
I’m changing my Ember review to a one-star after using Kepwam. The mug keeps your beverage warm for several hours. It also holds over 16 ounces. As a matter fact, it holds a whole 20 ounces. I guess I’m just mad at myself for buying a more expensive mug (Ember) because it had more reviews. I mean I could have saved myself $80 buying Kepwam last year.Con: I the only thing I need is a more ergonomic handle to put on Kepwam mug. It’s heavy because it has a battery and is full of coffee. That skinny handle hurts my arthritic fingers. It’s too small.

Good balance of price, battery life, and utility
My initial thought is that the blue is a slightly darker shade than that pictured in the advertisement and is more matte and not glossy, which I liked. The surface has I believe a metal with a grippy texture (I went back to check and it mentions ceramic, giving it a comfortable but premium feel.The bottom of the mug has a thin layer of rubber that acts as a grip so the cup doesn’t scuff up any surfaces or move around.It is slightly weighty when fully filled, but not uncomfortably heavy (as long as you are not carrying it around all day).My benchmark showed about 24 minutes from cold tap water using the max heat setting to get it warm with lid on, and 32 min to get it to hot (sorry, I didn’t have a thermometer to quantify the exact temps). That being said, this is designed to keep hot/warm liquids at that temp, rather than bring it up to temp from cold temps. By 35 min, 3 out of the 5 battery indicators were left.I think the only downside would be what would happen to the unit when the battery life runs down over time, as the cup is fully self enclosed and battery replacement doesn’t seem possible. To be fair, I think the other battery cups on the market operate on the same “consumable” aspect.Overall, I think this a solid product that does what it says, and is easily worth the investment if you enjoy long lasting hot drinks.
