A great carving set!

My dad has been using the same carving set for about 20 years. It's gotten to the point where the blade is dull and the sharpener it comes with doesn't do anything for it anymore. Instead of slicing, his old set more shredded whatever it was supposed to be cutting.I purchased this for my dad for Christmas to replace his dangerously dull 20 year old set and the first thing he said was "OOOOOHHHH! I get to be a Samurai!" He was so excited that he proceeded to open it to take a closer look. He says the craftsmanship was impeccable and the balance of the blade with the handle was unmatched. He could not take his eyes off of it.He ended up using it Christmas night to carve our prime rib roast and it cut through it like butter. I haven't seen so much joy in dad's eyes; it was like he was a little kid again feeling the magic of Christmas.Thank you so much for helping to make this memory!

Wow!

I have been buying these knives steadily! I am a retired chef with 40 years in the business. I own Henkels and Shun and several other big brands. These are the best and lightest most comfortable knives I have ever owned. They are like razors and nothing gets or holds an edge like high carbon steel. My only regret is that I can not find a cleaver in this series. They are trying now to make a name for themselves and are doing a great job. I guarantee you that these knives will be well known in the future and a lot more expensive as demand goes up. Better gettem now peeps while the gettin is good. Nothing beats these. The Santoku is as good a quality as the $500.00 handmade thousand time folded damascus knife which was previously my favorite. You can pay a lot more money if you want to, but you won't be getting a better knife. TY Kessaku for using modern tech to produce quality that can not be replicated by old fashioned beating it to death over an anvil lol

A fantastic knife

I scoured the internet looking for a Japanese style carving set to match a knife set Id picked up locally. This Kessaku set was the only real contender and Im so glad I found it. It looks amazing and is very sharp too. As a carving knife set, I don't plan on using it daily/weekly so Im glad it includes a stylish box which I'll keep it in. Now I just just have cook some cuts of meat worthy of this carving set!

Sharp and the serving fork is solid

The knife and serving fork are of good quality. The serving fork is definitely a lot more solid than the knife. I took of one star because the knife is a bit flimsy. I would have preferred a but more heft. The presentation was well thought out. Overall i would say I am happy with these items.

Beautiful, sharp, nice to hold and use
