perfect transitional knife

perfect transitional knife for when your kid is ready to step up from the nylon knives but still needs practice before moving to adult knives. The finger guard is functional and easy to teach kids how to use, and the loop on the chefs knife helps to train proper mechanics and safe grip when holding the knife and chopping

Perfect for little hands

Perfect knife for kids. When you've got a very independent toddler, it's hard to keep them from doing things normally labeled "unsafe". This gives my little guy an opportunity to be independent, and I'm confident that he's safe while doing it.He doesn't use the little ring much. But i do like the idea. It holds the fruit/veggie in place and gives your finger a little 'shield' to slice against. The knife itself is serated enough to cut through cold apples with ease. It looks a little big with the thumb holder, but it's perfect. My son loves it

Knives are good

The description/photos made in confusing to know what I was getting. I really thought I’d be getting a finger guard with the set I purchase which I did not get. It would have made me feel more confident letting my son use any knives, let alone these, had it some with it. But the knives themselves are good, and my son loves that he has his own set. They are sharp enough to cuts things like most fruits, but not so sharp that he’ll cut himself easily. My 5-star rating system:⭐️**Poor**: The product did not meet expectations, and I had a negative experience.⭐️⭐️**Fair**: The product has some issues, but it's usable with noticeable drawbacks.⭐️⭐️⭐️**Average**: The product is okay; it meets basic expectations without excelling.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️**Good**: The product is above average, performing well with minor room for improvement. Would purchase again.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️**Excellent**: Outstanding product, exceeding expectations, and providing a superb experience. Highly recommended.

Makes helping fun

Toddler is very excited to have and adults looking knife and wants to help chop fruits. This has the bonus of increasing his fruit and veggie intake.

Perfectly Sharp (Enough), Safe, & PINK!

My 8-year-old granddaughter AND her parents were thrilled with this birthday gift. Apparently, her consumption of self-cut fresh fruits & veggies has soared since she received this in her favorite color pink. My son & I are the family "foodies" & he was very happy for her to have a safe yet fully functional cutting implement to learn & practice with before graduating her to sharper household knives. We don't consider it really a "toddler" knife, however. For her toddler sister (age 2) I got a Montessori "knife" which is a thin, wedge-shaped piece of smooth wood with a gripping handle that can "cut" soft fruit like bananas & peeled+cored apples & serve as a "gateway knife" before she graduates to big sister's knife. This is a gift that will keep on giving and entertaining for a LONG time!
