A great size for shoveling loose foods, and good quality to boot

At 75, I recently finally got tired of standard sized forks, bigger than a salad fork -- and certainly huge compared to a shrimp fork -- but not big enough to easily scoop decent sized bites of, say, rice or beans into my mouth. I'm talking about width more than length. All were good enough to spear a piece of pork or chicken or fish, or loop pasta around it, but not to shovel (rather than spear) rice or beans or scrambled eggs, etc.Until recently, I had only one fork that was suitable: a titanium camping fork that I bought on Amazon years ago. Its tines are wide and it has a longer than average handle. Must be like 8". I wanted more.So, I shopped around and found these. I bought the set of four, enough for a single guy who doesn't entertain dinner guests, and to have enough forks if I don't wash dishes every day. The width is slightly more than my titanium camp fork -- excellent -- and the handles just as long. And they're built like tanks, and look great to boot. Nothing cheap about these. Money well spent.My only qualm has little to do with the fork itself, and more about what it's called. Dinner fork? It's not just for dinner. I use them for breakfast and lunch, also. I know, semantics, semantics. But just to be clear ...

If I didn't have these forks I would assume them to be low quality. I bought them to replace all the dinner forks that my children have "carelessly" tossed with their food scraps. The investment is low and I wouldn't be heartbroken if they disappeared. SURPRISINGLY! These forks have a nice weight to them. They are finished nicely. Have a fine balance to them. Are uniformly made. I don't think I have been so shocked at how little I've spent vs the quality I received. Now I wonder if they make an entire place setting. Can't find anything wrong with them.
