I love this knife, and it is as sharp as when I bought it many months ago. Personally, I think it's just as good as the $150 chefs knives, but at much less cost. Plus, it's pretty, and would make an excellent gift.
I’m very pleased with this very sharp 5 inch Santoku knife. It feels comfortable in my hand and makes cutting small vegetables, etc., a breeze. Quality seems good.
It fits my hand and was not overly heavy. So I could chop and cut quickly for the chef.
This is an excellent general purpose kitchen knife. Lightwheight, but feels sturdy and it is SHARP, able to thinly slice tomatoes with ease. I almost didn't buy it because I didn't believe a decent knife would be available for such a low price, but after reading the reviews decided to give it a chance, and am glad I did.
Easy to use and love the protective sheath.
I tried this knife out as soon as I got it. I just finished cutting up three whole chickens that had been roasted. The handle on the knife is very smooth and nearly perfectly round. When the handle has oil or grease on it it rolls in my hand when I'm making a forceful cut. The knife had some grease from the chicken on the handle and while I was trying to cut the thighs and split the breast cartilage the knife rolled completely over in my hand. The weight and feel of the knife blade is very good for the price. A sharp blade requires an especially secure handle and this one is not if it is wet or oily. I'm not sure if I can return a knife that I have already used, but I will probably try to do so. I would never lend this to someone else to use.
I bought this knife several months ago and wanted to give it a real try out before leaving a review. I love the way it looks and feels and has remained nice and sharp, I do hand wash it. So I cant say that it would remain sharp if it went into the dishwasher. Hand washing is not a big problem for me but may be a deciding factor for some
