I love these! Though they are glass and fragile...not like a Libby water glass..., they are wonderful! Can be used for casual or dressier settings. I used them for hot cider, and they held the heat much longer than a ceramic mug.
Loved they arrive well packaged and protected in their box.They're of great quality and are awesome for either hot coffee or or cold beverages. The double wall keeps the exterior cool regardless of the inside's liquid temperature.The design is pretty clean and they're very comfortable to hold in your hand. I really love them and Im pretty satisfied with them and their overall quality.As long as you take care of them, they'll last quite long and do their job just great. Great purchase for me.
To be perfectly honest, I have purchased multiple sets of these Kitchables Double Walled coffee mugs. First things first, they are glass and they will break, but I wouldn't say that they are fragile. These mugs are very sturdy, but I have tile floors. Having said that, I will continue to purchase and replace these mugs every time they meet their end.These mugs are amazing! They look and feel great, and I love to have a clear view of my nectar from heaven (coffee). Now, I can't get enough of the god juice, so I searched far and wide for a clear mug that had any kind of decent capacity. I settled with this brand just because they offered a 15oz mug, and I was content with my find for a number of years. So, you can imagine my surprise, when I jumped back into Amazon, after laying to rest another 15oz mug, and seeing this behemoth! It was an absolute no-brainer, 20oz of pure bliss, day after day, there wasn't a moment of hesitation. These mugs stay cool to the touch, no matter what you put in them, even when they come out of the microwave. Look no further, take the dive, you will be impressed.
These things are rocking my world. Look, I get up in the morning, pour myself a nice hot steaming cup of the best coffee I have ever found, and by the time I'm halfway done with the cup it's @#$% cold. NOT what ANYONE should have to live with in this modern age.Enter Kitchables' coffee mugs. These wonderful cups may have just saved me from a murder conviction. They keep my delicious brew hot. Or at least very warm by the time I hit the last 3 swallows. Really, I'm down to the last sips and there is still heat there. Here's a bonus... I'm not scalding my hand holding that cup. The insulation between the outside world and my coffee makes my morning better.Let me also address something. I've seen complaints about these being fragile. Um.... it's GLASS people. They can break. So far I have not broke one. They appear delicate but I have popped them down on my granite counter top a little too hard and not caused any damage. I can guarantee that if I dropped on on my tile floor, it would be a major explosion. :) Conclusion... DON'T BE CLUMSY! :)I can comment negatively on only one thing about THIS purchase. There are just a little bigger than I desire for a cup of hot coffee. Yes they hold a lot but I think the smaller size would be more manageable while reading the paper (or tablet in my case). On the other hand, this size is wonderful for iced coffee. With the ice cubes and coffee you get enough caffeine to move your emotions.I will be ordering the smaller size also. The quality of these are quite impressive. And, damn.... they look good.
We put everything in the dishwasher. These were wider than I expected. If you force them tightly in the dishwasher they crack or the two glass pieces separate. My husband is hard on dishes. They did not last over a month. They were made well. Just be careful when washing
I purchase a lot of things on Amazon, and rarely do I have the time to review any of the products. However, in this case I am taking the time to review this particular product.2 reasons why. The first, the reviews I read prior to purchasing these was amazing. Everyone stated these were the best thing ever made on the planet. Quality was insane...best product ever purchased...etc.This is not true in any way.The second reason for the review is because the seller sends endless emails asking you to take the time and post a review. While I appreciate the follow up, these are more than likely automated emails and the excessive pressure to post a review from a seller always makes me a bit uncomfortable. If a product is good and quality then someone that is happy with it will post a review. Most of the time when we get something that is not what we expected, we either don't take the time to review and deal with it, or return it and don't make a post. So, if your selling a quality product at a fair price, you really shouldn't need to pester your customers with a barrage of emails asking them to post a review.That being said, I was excited to get these because the price was very low for 4 espresso cups and again the reviews from everyone were exceptional.Once I opened the box I was impressed with little coaster, handwritten card from seller, and the fact that each cup was individually bubble wrapped with cardboard separation in between. This is where the impressiveness ended.Unwrapped and these in no way are a high quality shot glass. Please keep in mind that the phrase "you get what you pay for" is in most cases true. However, I have bought some great things on Amazon at amazing prices. So, its not 100%.These have a plastic look and feel to them. I am pretty sure they are in fact glass, but they do not look quality at all. Again, thinking for the price and that I would never use them to serve to anyone, they may be fine for brewing espresso that you are pouring into another glass to make a latte or macchiato.So, I spent the next few days thinking that my brand new espresso maker was not working properly. Why? Well, brewing a double shot with two shot glasses side by side, the cup on the right was getting much more espresso than the left. Next brew, same thing. Next? Same thing. Then a brew where the right was less than the left. Again, this continued over and over.Finally, realized why this was happening. Nothing at all to do with my machine. Its because all 4 cups are different sizes! These are not identical and there is a variation one to the next to the next to the next. Not major in the fact that you quickly look and can see the differences. However, line all 4 side by side on your counter and its clear this is a mix and match set of cups.Spend the money and buy a decent set of shot glasses. Don't waste your time with these.
