Durable and thick for blackstone cooking and fire pits

This is my ‘go-to’ apron for when I’m using the Blackstone. Unlike a traditional apron, the extra thick denim fabric on this apron keep the grease and oils from penetrating through the fabric and staying my clothes.The canvas straps and metal clasps are something that I’ll now always want on every apron. The criss-cross design keeps the apron secure. I never have to worry about the tie coming undone and having stop in the middle of a cook to retie the apron around my waist. I can also get a better fit at the top of the apron too since it’s not a non-adjustable loop around the neck.There’s great features on this apron that aren’t standard on typical kitchen aprons. The huge pockets and loop for tools are ideal. The leather pocket is perfect for my phone and glasses. The intermission soft and won’t scratch my screen. My phone stays secure in the pocket even when I bend down to reach for something under the cooktop.The overall quality is impressive with the materials used and the way it’s been sewn together. The fabric is thick but comfortable enough soft enough that it will bend and it’s still possible to sit comfortably. The leather is durable and flocked on the underside. The pockets are stitched and riveted. The straps are wide and don’t cut into my shoulders. The hardware for the clasps and rings are metal-not plastic.

Not Terrible

As aprons go it's nice enough. I find it difficult to adjust the straps to fit snuggly so some stuff sneaks down the front. I am a notoriously messy cook and needed an apron to protect my clothes. This one does the job to some extent, but not the perfect fit. I wanted to avoid the ones that tie in the back because it's hard to fasten them and I thought this would do a better job. Overall, not terrible, but I constantly fiddle with the straps.
