Little Can Opener, How Do I Love Thee?
My dad bought me one of the first cordless can openers back when they first came out. It didn't work very well at all, so I was skeptical about trying again. Boy, have they come a long way! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
I bought this for myself because I hate the old-school can openers where I had to turn the little crank. My hands are not as strong as they use to be. This little can opener is the best! I love it so much I bought three more to give away as gifts this Christmas. It’s super easy to use and has worked on even the toughest cans. I am so excited for this can opener. I show everyone that comes into my house. It is like a little magic house elf that opens my cans for me.It wants you to place it on top with the lip over the edge. Then remove your hands and press the giant start button. That’s it! Watch as it grabs ahold of the tin and makes its slow circle all the way around. When it stops, put her up in her spot of honor then check out your tin. The top is cut at the lip so the edge is not sharp. But here is the super bonus! The lid fits back on the tin if you have leftovers and did not need the whole can full! I like to make black bean nachos. But half a can does me so I’m always trying to put back half a can of beans. Thank you, little can elf!

Perfect for anyone with arthritis or limited hand dexterity
I was hesitant at first because it is quite expensive for a simple can opener. But I got tired of dealing with the pain and asking others to open cans for me, and bought one. They really are absolutely worth the money if you have hand issues. It works exactly as described - you set the can opener on top of the can and push a button. That’s it. The can opener manages to travel across the circumference of the can and cut it smoothly every single time. Simply lift off the device and the lid will lift off with no sharp edges. It doesn’t matter what shape the can is, this opener will handle it. It leaves nothing jagged or sharp, so you don’t have to worry about anyone getting cut by a can.Others have complained that it takes too long to open a can, but it doesn’t bother me at all. You set the device on the can, push the button, and move on to the next task on your list while it does its job. It might be louder than other can openers, I don’t know, but it hasn’t bothered me yet. The only tiny negative I can think of is sometimes it cuts through the can label if it’s attached to the top of the can, and you get some stringy glue when you lift off the top. It doesn’t touch the contents of the can, but it is kind of gross I guess.I only need to recharge the device every three or four months, but I don’t use it very often. I assume if you use it often you’ll need to charge it more frequently. It’s not an issue for me, other than making sure I can find the charging cable when I need it. But that’s on me to keep my kitchen drawers organized.

The design, color and function are impressive
My manual opener finally broke down and since my old hands needed a break I decided to try this. When it works it is great. Sometimes it gets hung up on the label so I peel it off. Also the power doesn't last long so it needs frequent recharging but I am so glad there is no need for batteries.I am pleased with this and will keep it. It would make a nice gift too.
