Best scissors I've ever owned! They are extremely sharp so be careful! My gf tried cleaning some of the edges she rubbed her fingers not thinking it was sharp huge mistake!Love these they held up their sharpness just fine and they feel like they are if good quality definitely my go to scissor brand from now on
Heavy duty large kitchen shears, they cut through chicken bones like butter. The handles have a wide enough opening for large hands. They are a great price given the quality I have paid more for shears of lesser quality. I like that they don't have plastic handles. If I had to pick things I don't like about them, it would be concern for the handles peeling. Overall nice good quality shears.
First of all, despite being described as “Japan Cooking Scissors” in the listing title, these shears are made in China. One of the blades even has Japanese characters and the word “Japan” printed on it, which feels odd given that they’re made in China and there’s no indication they have any connection to Japan (besides the “product style” being listed as “Japanese”). Setting that aside, the shears themselves are pretty decent. They’re heavy duty and very sharp, and were able to cut through chicken wings and stiff plastic with relative ease. The weight feels good, being solid but not too heavy or cumbersome. The one issue I have with the design is that the handles are a bit large for my hands, which makes it difficult to get a secure grip when cutting something that requires more force and stability. The blades are slightly shorter than standard office scissors but are long enough for most kitchen jobs, and the shorter length provides better leverage for cutting things that require a lot of power (like bones). This is my first set of shears specifically designed for kitchen use, and they definitely work better than office scissors for tough food or packaging. At $9.99 they feel like a good value given how substantial they are. Overall I’m happy with how they perform but I’m deducting a star for the lack of transparency over where they’re made.

I was on the hunt for some heavy duty, kitchen shears, and these are perfect. They are super sharp, heavy and can cut anything so far! They look intimidating because they are so intense but so nice. They’ve held up really well with hand washing and I dry them right away to help them stay sharp. I’d say for the quality they are a great price point/ were definitely worth the price.
Very nice strong kitchen scissors. These all metal scissors will replace my old plastic handled shears. One thing to consider if you are getting these is that the blade is twice the width of my old ones. As a result, these will not fit in the scissor holder in my knife rack. I may widen that slot, or just hang these from a peg.
