Solidly built, extra heavy duty kitchen sheers
This is coming from someone who really only has standard kitchen scissors to compare to, but I was thoroughly impressed by how much better these are compared to my standard kitchen scissors. They can cut through practically anything.Pros:+ Extremely heavy duty. You know they won't break if you put a lot of force behind them. You can see how thick the metal is compared to my existing kitchen scissors. It's good quality metal too.+ Easy to separate so you can actually clean them thoroughly.+ Already comes very sharp. I mentioned that they are heavy duty enough to put a lot of force behind them, but these scissors have stayed so sharp, that I barely need to.+ The fit is comfortable enough for my hands. I have smaller hands compared to most and they seem alright for me. I feel they would fit larger hands just fine.Cons:+ $30 is a bit pricey for a pair of scissors, but I think these are worth the full $30. I believe my old kitchen scissors were $15, so this is double the price for more than double the quality.Other remarks:+ The box it comes in is also dense and heavy duty. There was no reason they needed to do that, but I think it works particularly well here. It feels like a sturdy box for a heavy duty pair of scissors.

This pair of scissors cuts well and made strong and durable. They are tough, thick, stainless. I like that its all one piece (no plastic handle or other pieces), each side is one solid piece of stainless. They cut though everything I've used them on so far. I'm using them in my kitchen and put them right in the slot on my butcher block. They are now my go-to kitchen scissors.They come apart easy, which aids in quick and easy cleaning. I found no issues, no defects, and nothing really to complain or take away from the review. 5 stars, they work great and are durable!

Great Quality, Quite Large
These scissors are incredible quality. They’re heavyweight, and just have the feel of quality metal. They don’t have the comfiest handles in the world, but they’re fine for the amount of time I’m actually using them. Strength, sharpness, and build quality are most important to me.These are very sharp. I’m kind of embarrassed to admit that these are actually my fifth pair of kitchen shears, all manufactured by name brand companies - good ones. That includes a pair called “poultry shears,” and I could never get any of them to cut the leg/thigh off a Costco chicken. That may be caused in part by weakness in my hands, I don’t know, but either way, it’s been really frustrating. *These work.* OMG, do these work.When I first opened the packaging, I really wasn’t sure I was going to like them. They’re very large, but even so, the blades don’t open as far as the others I’ve had (at least not with my women’s-size-medium hands). However, I didn’t notice that at all while actually working on the chicken. Someone else mentioned this configuration providing better leverage, and after using them, I agree.I really don’t think you could find better kitchen shears on the market, at least in this price range.

Sturdy, sharp, straight edged easy-to-clean scissors
We are most impressed with the sturdiness and quality of these scissors, not to mention the simplicity. These scissors are well aligned and properly adjusted. Both scissor blades are straight and 'true', cutting edges being well honed with out jagged edges. The result is the when in use it makes a clean cut and the are sharp, making it a joy to use a tool to effectively cut stuff in the kitchen - whether opening bagged food, or cutting onions, or whatever. The easily separate for cleaning. However, I do not think the bottle opener function is well located, as one might be tempted to hold the scissor blades as a handle. I can see that pinching or cutting the user's hand or fingers.We already have about 4 pairs of large kitchen scissors that we use and they - the other scissors - are hard to clean after using them to cut various items for food prep. And they do not maintain a good cutting edge as they are loose or mis-aligned - the other scissors that is - but not these.
