Sturdy, Reliable, and Easy to Clean: A Great Box Grater!!

This stainless steel box grater is impressively solid and built to last. Each side features a different grating patterns (Coarse, Medium & Fine), and one side even includes a slicing option, making it a versatile tool for everything from cheese to cabbage to other veggies. What stands out most is the sturdiness. The construction feels durable, and the top handle gives you excellent control while grating. It stays steady on the counter and feels secure in your hand no wobbling or slipping.Cleaning is also a breeze. Even though it’s dishwasher‑safe, I prefer to hand‑wash it. A quick scrub with warm, soapy water moving in the opposite direction of the grating motion gets it clean in seconds.A nice bonus is the included 3‑cup container that fits perfectly at the base to catch whatever you’re grating. It even comes with a lid so you can store your shredded ingredients for later use without hunting for another container.Overall, this is a fantastic, long‑lasting kitchen tool that performs exactly as you’d hope. A solid purchase all around.

Great Grating

This grater grates like a champ. Perfect for shredding fresh parm onto fettuccine alfredo, don’t even think about buying that sad pre-shredded stuff. Sturdy, sharp, and the storage container makes cleanup civilized.

Another Quality Kitchenaid product

I want to preface this with my belief that you don't buy a new item if your current item can still be used and KitchenAid products generally last. I purchased the combo package of a grater with storage/measuring cup and a Manual Can Opener. First, the Grater: I may have purchased the grater this was to replace in the early to mid 1980's. Certainly no later than 1990! This grater, with the hard plastic collar and top handle seems like it will never collapse in on itself, as my old one finally did. It's slightly larger overall and, while space is always tight in a well used kitchen, it stores its own measuring cup/covered container, so I'll forgive it. The container, with it's own seal, is very handy as I no longer have to grate onto a paper towel and then transfer that to a measuring cup. I could say that it stops one from wasting cheese when you grate too much but the "extra" was always consumed by kids, dogs & hubby wandering by and pinching a bit here & there... well, not the dogs, everyone generously shared their snagged bits with them, woof woof 😜 😉The Manual Can Opener: I am blown away by the ease of use and quality of this product. I have an opener that never caught the can edge properly, needed excessive pressure to hold the handles tightly together and usually needed repeated repositioning every time I needed to open a can! As my arthritis has worsened, I often needed someone else to help and watched THEM have the same issues. Anyway, when my grater collapsed, I saw the package with both and ordered it immediately. This opener is extremely easy to use, it doesn't open very wide but, I placed it on a can, gave a little squeeze and easily turned the handle just a couple of times before the lid dropped into the mandarin oranges! I was flabbergasted at the ease of use because I've been using the old one for several years, often got pinched and would just give up on trying to get a lid entirely off. We would pry the can open with something else until we could scoop out the contents. Luckily, we don't really open many cans and, until the mandarin oranges stopped having "pull tops" it was rare to NEED an opener. I'm not cheap, I AM frugal. I don't know where the old opener came from but, I know KitchenAid. For well over 35 years, I've owned a (refurbished) KitchenAid Mixer including many of the attachments and several other KitchenAid products. Every item with their name on it has provided years of service and they stand behind their products. This package was more expensive than most of the others and that's a consideration for some but I'm confident that I'll save money in the long run. Spend a couple of extra dollars now and you won't have to replace the items as often.

Almost Perfect But..

When the container is stored, the lid is upside down and falls off easily. The lid needs some kind of lip to keep it from falling off. Big oversight!

Quality Grater

A good quality grater, exactly what I'd expect from KitchenAid.I like the cup catches the gratings. My only tiniest of tiny complaints is I'd like the cup to have a rubber foot so that it doesn't slide around when I'm grating (I added my own) and the lid to the cup doesn't snap on, so it just falls right off if turned upside down...like for storage.

Perfect for grating frozen butter for biscuit making

I recently started using frozen butter in my biscuit recipe. I tried cutting it up in small pieces but that just made a mess. This grater works like a champ! I give it a light spray of oil so the butter doesn't stick... and it shreds a whole stick of frozen butter in less than a minute. The oil spray Alsop works well when grating cheese.I'm on a kick where I don't buy any processed foods.... this kitchen gadget has made my cooking much easier. It's sharp... big enough to get some real work done. I use the detachable storage container for shredding carrots, potatoes...etc... works great and cleanup is easy. Highly recommend
