Great pizza wheel
Bought this pizza wheel to replace a cheap smaller wheel that is no longer sharp. This wheel is so much better! Nice and heavy with a larger diameter wheel that slices right through the thin crust pizza I like to get. My old one only had a 2-inch wheel and this one is 3 1/2 inches so it makes quick work. It cleans up easily in soap and water (it says it's dish washer safe, but I always clean it up by hand since I'm washing the pizza pan anyway. Nicely made unit and wish I'd bought it a lot earlier.

Be Careful
The Kitchen Aid pizza wheel is sharp, cuts easily, is sturdily built, protects the cutting hand, fits well when gripping the handle and cleans up easily in a dishwasher or by hand. However, it has no storage protector for that very sharp wheel. I store it in the most rear utensil compartment I have in a drawer. I place the wheel facing the back of the drawer for further protection. When my children were toddlers, I always kept a pizza wheel with its cover in the diaper bag. I used the wheel to quickly cut up their finger food in a restaurant. However, I would not advise putting a pizza wheel with an unguarded blade in any container where a hand could be blindly searching for it.

Not all that glitters is made of metal.
Very good so far. I used it a few times and it cuts well. I was a little surprised to see and feel that the area that guards or protects your fingers is actually plastic painted to look like it's metal. Manufacturers please correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels and sounds like plastic when tapped. The ring of metal at the very end or bottom of the handle on the other hand is metal. Feels like aluminum. the blade looks like stainless. It's still a good cutter.
