Stored Lettuce Bliss
I never thought glass jars and lettuce would make such a great team—but they do! After washing and drying lettuce leaves, I store them sealed in a glass jar, and surprisingly, they’ve stayed fresh for over a month. These are perfect for storing lettuce due to the larger size than a quart jar. Due to the wide-mouth, they are easy to clean, I just throw them in my dishwasher. Quality seems good, the lid screws on as it should and stays tight.If you haven't stored your lettuce in glass jars, I highly suggest to research the steps and to start!

Excellent Jars!
I got these because they were recommended when looking into water glassing some of our fresh eggs. When they came in, the first thing I noticed is that these jars are really sturdy, and seem well made. The lids also have a built in silicone seal that works well without needing anything additional. I just wish they came in other sizes so we could try them for other types of canning.When water glassing, I was able to fit over a dozen eggs (13-15) in each jar. I’ve also used them for making homemade pickled eggs so far. These would also work well for dry storage of just about anything else in the kitchen (tea, rice, beans, etc) where you’d want a good, airtight seal. Well worth the cost for what you get.

Beautiful and strong jars
We bought these initially to store water glassed eggs. Getting six was a great value for what we needed. Fortunately, not all were used for eggs and one became the perfect sourdough starter jar! We simply cut a hole in a lid and use cheese cloth to cover the jar and secure it with the lid. We go through a lot of sourdough starter and the quart sized jars weren't working. These are easy to handle, clean, and store.
