Sharp, Comfortable, and looks great

Slices cleanly, looks beautiful, and the handle fits very well in my (size Large gloves) hand.Most of my knives are forged German Henckels and Wusthoff and while I won’t say this is *better* it’s fun, light, and maneuverable and I enjoy using it. The blade profile is well chosen for a rocking/pushing motion like a French-style chef’s knife.I liked it enough to follow this knife with matching Nakiri and paring knives and haven’t been disappointed yet - especially at the holiday sale prices I paid!

Excellent knife, not great damascus coloring

This knife is really good and sharp right out of the box. The handle feels solid and seems like it will last. It's a traditional nakiri shape whereas a lot of competitors do strange hybrids because it's cheaper. It feels very sturdy and the metal feels like it's of excellent quality. I'm hoping this will last a good long time.The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the misleading pictures in the listing for the damascus coloring - a lot of these knives that adverstise damascus steel always mislead with the pictures and make you think you're getting something you're not. The damascus folding in this knife that I received is actually extremely light and does not have the super dark, black/grey coloring like in the pics. It's basically just natural steel color with faint wavy lines where the damascus folds are. My pics actually make it appear more vibrant than it is, maybe my lighting or something but it's actually not very easy to see with the naked eye.Overall though, this doesn't affect the quality of the knife and I would still recommend it. It's still a beautiful knife, but don't rely on vibrant, eye popping damascus coloring.

Very handsome knife

Normally lower lower-priced damascus steel items I get from unknown vendors is pretty mediocre -- this is not the case here.The knife looks amazing -- patterns in the steel are very pretty and the wooden handle is striking. This thing looks like it's more expensive than it is, which is great if you have a kitchen with a knife bar or something.The actual quality of the knife is also great. The blade goes into the hilt very well, the blade is sharp, and with ongoing care I'll have this knife for a very long time.For comparison I am used to using global knives, and sunset an older chef's knife in my drawer for this one after ongoing usage.
