Really, really nice. I use these to culture dairy products and the result has a yoghurt-like texture so I needed something shoulderless that made it easy to get the finished product out. I'm trying to reduce microplastics exposure and these are pretty close to perfect. I researched acacia wood and informed opinion seems to be that it is one of the woods that justify a stronger presumption of food-contact safety. Glass of course, is ideal. The gasket is silicone rubber and most authorities interested in the subject don't seem to be concerned about it. SR is NOT a "plastic" in the common sense of the word. If you're paranoid about it, you can always take the gasket off and lose the higher level of air-tightness, although the lid would still function as well as - oh, say, a traditional cookie jar lid. Regarding the degree of air-tightness, I saw the review with the ant picture and it concerned me a little when I read it, but I can say that, at least now while they are new, these are sufficiently air tight that it was hard to pull the tops off, doubtless because when and where they were put on the barometric pressure was lower. That's fairly impressive for a jar with no screw threads or cam closure. If you need something even more long-term air-tight than that, you need a traditional canning jar of either the standard or French type.The caddy seems pretty good and will serve to prevent knocking these over. I'm fumble fingered enough to need all the help I can get in that regard. I may glue on an even larger base.

Perfect for dry goods.- The silicone ring creates a perfect air tight seal, so much so that you can hear & feel the air pressure distribution upon lifting the lid.- I did not notice any imperfections in the glass.- The bamboo lids were slightly different colors, but you wouldn't notice unless you're comparing them side by side.- Not super thick glass, so of course they'll break easily if dropped. I have kids, so with common sense, I keep these jars off the counter and keep them in my coffee cabinet instead.I definitely plan on getting more in other sizes for the rest of my dry goods and will label them for ease of visibility.

Decent, measure how much they hold!

I use these to store coffee beans. The little spoon is worthless - it holds about ten total beans. I would be scooping all day to fill my coffee maker with that spoon. They're are a bit farm-y looking. The caps to the containers don't match the wood used for the frame. They are 'ok' for storing small amounts.

JUST THE RIGHT SIZE FOR MY GROUND COFFEE

These are exactly what I wanted. I buy coffee beans and grind about a weeks worth at a time to keep the ground coffee fresher. One of these jars holds the exact amount of ground coffee that I need. They really are air tight, which also helps keep my ground coffee fresher. I can hear air being pushed out when I put the lid on. The sides of the jar are straight, no lip around the top, so they're very easy to clean. The lids have a very pretty grain to them. These come two in a package, so I gave one to my daughter for her coffee. She loves hers too.We've used these jars for almost eight weeks and can't find a thing wrong with them. I'm sure I'll find a reason to order more.
