This lame is nice and simple, as well as effective. The closure system is a magnet which makes it very easy to change the blades out. It's all plastic design. Also prevents any kind of rust or corrosion from forming inside which I also found to be quite nice. It holds a standard size razor blade and there is enough tension on the slider that the blade doesn't just flop around like others I've seen. This is a good product.
I love this product. It’s extremely easy to use and makes a very clean cut in my dough. I love that the blade is retractable making it safer to use with young children around.
Easy to use. I like how you can tuck the blade away once done. East to switch out the blades. Great buy.
Love this! I've tried the curved and aesthetically pleasing lames, and have had little success. I'm sure it's user error, but this is my review. This one is no-nonsense. I get much cleaner cuts with this one right from the start. The only thing I do not like is that the thumb slide doesn't work with just one hand. I can get the blade out about 1/4" before it sticks. I have to use my other hand to hold it with a firmer grip and really push and slide with my thumb to get it to protrude all of the way. That's probably a safety feature, but I always worry I'm going cut the fingers on my gripping hand if they are slightly in the wrong place.
Good blade, well made, comfortable and convenient. The magnet makes it really accessible: it lives on my fridge door and it's always ready to use. I love the little manual it comes with too, with different scoring examples.
Small enough to cover blade to store safely and large enough to score large boules.
It has a very strong magnet. It was difficult for me to open up to get the blade in. Then when I retracted the blade after using, it wouldn’t slide back out. I had to open it up again. I’m still using it. Could be user error; hopefully will get the hang of it.
