Awesome pots and pans. I love how they look and they cook food really well.
U can cook in them but they do stick all the time wished I should of spent the money and got the real ones but gotta make them work
So I originally got the Hexclad pan which I think was one of the first to do this hexagon pattern thing to create a nonstick surface that was scratch resistant. We loved that pan, but those pots and pans are so prohibitively expensive. It would cost like $600-$800 to get an entire set of pots and pans. Then I saw this Koch Systeme set that has basically every pot and pan you could possibly need, and for the price of like 1-2 pans from competitors. So we ordered them and we've since replaced all our old nonstick cookware that was chipping and peeling and probably extremely unhealthy to be cooking out of. This cookware set has been fantastic.Incredibly easy to use, super durable. Extremely easy to clean. Good variety of sizes to work with. We really like how deep the pots are, and even the pans have high walls to prevent food flopping out. The honeycomb design means you can use metal utensils and scratch the daylights out of the insides and there's no damage at all. It's pretty amazing. The technology is in the design of having that layer of stainless steel hexagonal lines raised slightly above the nonstick surface.Yes, this still technically has a nonstick coating, it's just protected by the hexagon cage. Now, in terms of how well these work to cook with? They are very similar to the Hexclad I already owned. Are the 100% nonstick? No. You can't just crack an egg in it with no oil or butter and have the egg slip around. The egg will absolutely stick. Food will absolutely stick. That's IF you don't use it properly. So... with a nonstick pan, stuff rarely sticks to it. But with a hybrid pan, you need to take a few steps to prevent sticking. Mainly, yes you need to oil or butter the pan ahead of time. Absolutely. But secondly, and the most important thing... You have to cook on lower heat! These pans heat up VERY fast and VERY uniformly. They will SCORCH your food if you cook them like you'd cook with full nonstick pans.If you want delicious eggs, you set your stovetop to medium-low and just keep moving things around. Your egg will not stick. It will cook very fast, but it won't stick all over the pan. Once you adjust to cooking things at lower heat, you'll get the hang of not having stuff stick to the pan.Same applies for boiling rice. We were using a fully nonstick pan to make rice. You could bring it to a boil, then put it on low covered for 15 minutes and the rice came out perfect. But we tried that with one of these pots, and the rice was a bit overcooked and hard. That's because, again, these pots and pans heat up much faster and more efficiently... resulting in stuff reaching higher temperatures much faster. So you just have to reduce heat and/or cooking time on a lot of meals. With all that said, I love this set. The little bit of finicky stuff you have to deal with like the lower heat and stuff is NOTHING compared to not having to worry that you accidentally stirred up your meal with a metal spoon and now have a scratched nonstick pan that is ruined. Nor do you have to worry about washing everything gently. You can scrub these things hard with no issues. They clean extremely easily too.Just overall great pots and pans and I love the honeycomb design and think it's the next evolution in cooking.
The pots and pans feel incredibly sturdy and high-quality, and the honeycomb nonstick interior is a game-changer. I’ve been using them for everything from sautéing vegetables to simmering sauces, and food releases beautifully every time without sticking. The 18/10 stainless steel construction makes the set durable and resistant to rust or warping. I also love that it’s induction compatible, so I can use it on my induction stove with no issues. The handles stay cool during cooking, and the lids fit perfectly, sealing in heat and moisture. Cleaning is easy — even the nonstick honeycomb interior scrubs clean without much effort.
If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. You see a lot of Vine reviews that are cookie cutter and based on templates. I aim to make my reviews honest and non-cookie cutter (other than this intro and disclaimer).* These items are not actually free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. Therefore, I will never order something from Vine unless I actually intend to use it. I think this is important for readers to understand because it means I will never order an item just to provide a fake five star review to a company. If I review something as good, it means I actually enjoyed using it or it fills its intended purpose correctly. Items that don't meet my expectations will be reviewed accordingly. Why I ordered this item: I wanted a spare set of pots and pans for camping, etc. I wasn't planning for these to replace my ~20 year old stainless set but that's exactly what happened!Likes:* Build quality is insanely good, especially at this price. These look gorgeous and feel like they cost $600 or more.* The stainless steel is as good or better than my old set. They are around the same weight but have the added bonus of what appears to be a ceramic non-stick surface.* It's hidden in the listing in a picture, but these are PFAS free which is very important to me when I am looking for cookware.* On my induction range, heating of the burgers we cooked was extremely even and I couldn't find any spots that were hotter or colder than the rest of the cooking surface. No likes:* I like everything about this kit.Would I pay full price for this product: YesFinal thoughts: What an extreme value on a high-end kit. I do not think you will be able to find a better set for a lower price than these.
