Great deal for the price! Its burlap! Other people said there was a bad smell but I risked it and I bought it anyway. I dont think it smells like anything but burlap. Its burlap, it will have a burlap smell to it, which for this product isnt bad at all. You can tell who is familiar with burlap and who isnt. I would purchase this again. Its going to go very nicely with our rustic wedding theme.
I used them under a cowboy boot with a bandanna wrapped around the ankle, for centerpieces at our Wild West dinner.Note that they shred like real burlap.They were economical and perfect for what I needed
These are really nice casual round burlap placemats that complimented my beautiful wooden plates in my Thanksgiving table. I served buffet style, so the plates don't show in the photo. Would highly recommend!

Purchased these for a Baby shower, They are great !! I did not wanted to try to keep my price down for the place settings of 45 people. So i ordered there hoping they would work. Very Happy with the quality and durability . You can definitely reuse if you would like or just toss . Cheap enough ! Worth the purchase if your trying to keep your cost down

I liked this set of jute placemats, they give the table a rustic and cozy look, perfect for when I want to set up a more charming table. The material looks nice and the amount of pieces is great, so I can use them on several occasions without worrying about running out.But there are a few points I didn’t like as much. I found the size too small for main dishes, so they work better as decorative bases or for smaller plates. Another detail is that they shed quite a bit of fuzz from the material, which ends up making the table a little messy. Also, I recommend “flattening” them before using, because they arrive folded and that makes a difference when setting the table.Overall, I liked the style and look, I just think they could be a little larger and have a better finish so they don’t shed so much. Still, they do a good job of giving the table a more rustic and cozy touch.
