Fantastic stainless steel ice cube tray!
This is a fantastic stainless steel ice cube maker!The ice cube container itself is the standard size and makes standard size ice cubes. It is heavier than the metal ice cube trays that I grew up with which always resulted in shattered ice cubes. I believe the results from this ice cube tray will be much more satisfactory with fewer if any shattered cubes and be easier to work!I unfortunately have arthritis in both hands and so having an easy to work ice cube tray is critical for my needs and this one appears to be able to do that!I have included not only a picture of the box, but also several separate pictures of the directions on the side of the box and the ice cube tray itself.If you don’t have an icemaker in your refrigerator/freezer or if it does not work appropriately, I encourage you to consider this ice cube tray due to its heaviness and its creation of whole ice cubes instead of shattered ice cubes!This ice cube tray will probably meet your needs for creating good fast ice cubes for all your needs in a relatively inexpensive manner!

Sturdy, SS Trays, I Use to Make Cubes for "Pretty Water", Includes Only 1 Tray, Not 2 as Shown
This is a heavy duty stainless steel ice tray with a sturdy release handle. My only surprise upon opening it, was that there was only one tray included. The listing photos showed 2 trays and the description says "trays", not tray, so I was disappointed to only receive one as the price they were asking for one tray was very high, so not a good value.Getting past that initial disappointment, the tray itself functions as described. I leave it out on the counter a few minutes while I am cooking dinner or making a smoothie, etc. and the handle releases easily. So far I've made several trays with quarter slices of lemon and berries so that we can make "pretty water" for some guests we are having over for dinner soon.I have not had any issue with releasing the ice when following the guidelines to let it sit out for a few minutes.As I have a french door fridge, the freezer is a drawer, so there is not flat place to set the tray, so I have to make one in the freezer. Even so, I've been able to make fairly even cubes and I am able to fill the tray almost to the top to get fairly large cubes.I am satisfied with the quality of the tray and its functionality, the listing just needs to be edited to more clearly show one tray, not two, as some buyers might choose another option when comparing prices.

Ice tray to avoid plastic
I’ve been using this stainless steel ice cube tray regularly for about a month now. The tray itself feels pretty sturdy, and the lack of bending or flexing helps when filling it and storing it in the freezer.The lever release works well, especially when the ice is fully frozen. Once you take it out of the freezer, letting it sit at room temperature for a minute or two to temper helps avoid cracking when releasing the cubes. Filling level also makes a difference. I leave a little space at the top, otherwise the water expands over the edge and the cubes freeze together.Cleaning is very simple since everything is metal. There’s no smell and nothing flexible that traps residue. The lever also comes off, which makes rinsing it out easier.One reason I like this tray is that it avoids plastic. I have a child and try to minimize plastic where I can for items that sit in the freezer long term. This feels straightforward and easy to maintain.

This icecube tray arrived exactly as pictured. It feels flimsy like the handle will bend when you try to get the ice cubes out. The metal feels thin but it is very well constructed. I'm hesitant to recommend because it feels so thin and breakable. I don't think I'd recommend this for long term use.

Soooooo excited!I’ve held off getting this because it's expensive for an ice cube tray. However, I’m so excited to finally have it now.The tray is just like the one my grandmother had when I was a child. Stainless steel with a lever to loosen the ice cubes. The metal is heavy enough to not flex or feel flimsy but, is not too thick…because it would weigh a ton. The cubes are oversized compared to standard plastic trays.The tray sticks to your hand when it comes out of the freezer…ala’ metal flag poles in winter. Again..core childhood memory unlocked. I’ll take it over plastic any day.I love it and it will probably last for the rest of my life and be passed down.
