Rust spots along blade within a few weeks time

I bought this knife set for my husband as an advent gift and he was really excited since he loves to cook. The knives arrived rolled in a nice storage bag with blade covers, which felt thoughtful and protective. The presentation was great.That said, there were no labels or instructions explaining what each knife was. We could tell one was a santoku and one was a cleaver, but had no idea what the third knife was. I ended up contacting the company, and they confirmed the set includes a Chinese cleaver, a santoku knife, and a gyuto chef’s knife.They arrived fairly sharp, and given the typical $70 to $90 price range for these sets, we expected decent durability. Unfortunately, within about two weeks the blades started showing rust, even though we were careful to wash and dry them promptly after use. That was pretty disappointing and not what we expected at this price point.Price at time of review: Unknown, my variant is no longer listed

My favorite knife set currently!

First off, these come extremely sharp. I have wanted these larger style cleaver knives and saw this set so got it. They are beyond my expectation. Sharp, great length and feel, heavy, thick and they cut better or as well as my Japanese chef knives. I was so surprised, they are in the front of my magnetic board now. The carrying case is nice, so if I took them camping I could keep them safe. I feel they are durable enough for camping, but to be honest it's such a nice set I don't want it ruined. The price is well worth it, I worried the price was too low and the knives might be lesser quality, but the only slight issue I've had was the handle on one you can feel a little bit of the edge of the wood (easily resolved with a light sanding and didn't it anyways). 5 stars for sure, the price to amount of good quality knives is superb.
