Great scale for so many kitchen uses
This is a great scale! I wanted a rechargeable scale for virtually all my cooking needs (weighing ingredients means not having to wash measuring cups and spoons!), because the scale I was using was tearing through batteries like nobody's business. We both use this scale, for everything we cook, from bread to pasta to desserts to salad dressings. I have another (smaller) scale for when I need real accuracy with tiny spice weights (1-5 grams), but this scale covers every other range with accuracy, and I love that you can weight up to 33 lbs with it. I think my old one had a 12 lb limit that I ran into around the holidays.The charge lasts a lot longer than the batteries in my old one did, and I always have a USB-C charger in the kitchen anyway, for the rare occasions when I need to charge it (I've only charged it once so far, which is fantastic, considering that it gets near-daily use).It's also super easy to clean, since the whole top is glass. The light-touch buttons are under the glass (probably not the right technical explanation), so there aren't any edges or cracks for anything to get caught in. You just wipe the whole top clean easily, which I love.The power, tare, and units buttons are super easy to use, and just the right amount of pressure is required. It's all very self-explanatory. And because it's just thin and flat, I can easily slip it back into my random-utensil drawer when I'm done using it.For clarity (because the description confused me, but the seller provided more details): Please note that the glass top of the scale is waterproof and wipeable, but the power hole and body gaps are NOT waterproof, so the scale should NOT be immersed in water. I'm not the neatest cook, but this hasn't been a problem for me at all. Wiping the top gets it beautifully clean, and if you wanted to wipe it with antibacterial wipes, etc, that would also work great. Just don't dunk it in the sink. While I would like the option to be able to drop it in the water, I don't actually need the option to be able to drop it in the water, lol. This scale does everything I hoped it would.
