First set of SS pans.
I cook a lot and for years used only non-stick cookware. In the last few years, I started venturing into some areas that are not non-stick... cast iron and carbon steel, realizing i had been missing out on the joys of things like easy maillard reactions. I had never owned stainless steel cookware before, saw this set come available through Amazon's vine program and figured I'd give em a shot.So first off, I hope it is obvious.... these ARE NOT non-stick. Some manner of oil or fat is going to need to be used. The general finish of 75% of the pans is great... but cooking surface of the pan I found a little rougher than expected. That said, this does not seem to have affected anything negatively that I can tell... and since this is my first set of SS cookware, perhaps that is regular characteristic. Either way, when fat or oil is used, food seems to release about on par with my smooth carbon steel pans.A nice feature of this set is the lid for each pan rather than only getting a lid for the largest pan. You usually find lids for all sizes of pots in sets, but not quite as often for pans. Another thing to note... these are not light. We're not talking about the weight of equivalent sized cast iron or anything that heavy, but there is a substantive weight to them.Heat distribution seems to be as good as any of my other pans and heat retention is definitely better than my current non-stick pans. Obviously this could be a good or bad thing depending on what you need your pan to do.So far, I'm liking this set of pans. They seem to cook as well as my current pans and, so far, are holding up great. Time will tell on that front, though.

Beautiful, balanced, healthy, I love cooking with them.
This is a set of the sizes we use most. They are NOT non-stick, they are the raw deal, no coatings; we use Avocado oil, olive oil, and butter for that.They ARE very eye catching, I love the copper notes. I appreciate even more the non-toxic stainless steel. All our teflon is gone, only cast iron, ceramic and stainless steel in my kitchen now, and these fit right in beautifully.These are stated to be "tri-ply stainless steel" for even cooking, and so far I can say that seems to be the case. I have an old well-used set of stainless steel pans and they can be dicey, hotter in the middle, but these really do seem to distribute the heat better. Very pleased.The lids, well, they were a nice luxury that we quickly adapted to everyday use, no more stealing the big pot top for the saute pan lol. But now I need more cabinet space for lids 😆 (I'll happily figure it out lol).Now the texture of the pans... is interesting, I'm still figuring that out. It's not the same smoothness as my long-suffering stainless steel (see photos). It says it's "stone ground" and I'm researching that more. I do know, however, that I love having no worries over my kids using the wrong utensils. My beautiful old metal spatulas won't scratch these.And these are weighty, balanced, I like using them. Beyond what's healthy, what matters most is what we find ourselves using again and again, and I do find myself reaching for these pans (when they are clean, my young adult kids like them too lol).
