If you bake, you need this bread oven!!!

I have used this bread oven several times and continue to be very happy with it! I used my Le Creuset Dutch oven for a few bakes before I purchased the Kook Bread Oven and it all but ruined my Le Creuset. Would highly recommend using the Kook Bread Oven over a cast iron Dutch oven. It bakes all my loaves beautifully and holds up to the high oven temps. The silicone sling is also very helpful for transferring dough to the baker--love the design. This is my favorite purchase for baking bread--every baker needs one!

Perfect Ciabatta

This bread oven creates the ideal environment for a perfect ciabatta loaf from first use. My prep is fairly standard using a glass bowl with plastic lid:Artisan bread flour 13% protein: 200 gmsWater: 150mL (75% hydration as per the package)Salt: 1/2 tsp (about 4 gms)Dry yeast: 1/4 tsp (about 1gm)Olive oil: 1 tsp (about 4 gms)Heat water to 110 F (20-30 sec microwave)Dissolve salt first (to avoid shocking the yeast)Dissolve yeast and oilAdd flour and press/stir with a silicone spatulaGluten texture develops within 3 minCover with lid 1 hr then press/stir again for 1 minCover and refrigerate overnightPrior to baking: Rest at room temp for 2-3 hrsPreheat bread oven at 450 F x 30 minRemove and place on stove top- lid offI handle dough with wet fingers, no oil or flourShape the dough and lay directly on oven baseNo need for the silicone mat or oil- it will not stickLid on: cook for 30 minLid off: < 5 min til brown

Very sturdy, just doesn't seat very well...

Very sturdy & I can appreciate that, but the lid doesn't seem to seat on the bottom pan very well? I got this bc I wanted just 1 bread making dutch oven for both my batards & boules & the size accommodate's that. But with the top not seating well on the base, I'm afraid I'm losing steam on the first 20 min bake.
