Better than expected. Works well, good value.

I wanted a shaker with a pour spout for cooking, so I don't need to take he top off, or get the salt bag from the pantry, every time I want to add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to a recipe. It works perfectly for that. The pour rates for the shaker and the spout are perfect for my needs (note that the salt I am using is rather fine). It's also attractive, at least as salt shakers go.I've only been using this for 3 days now, so I can't speak for the durability, but it looks and feels sturdy (including the plastic parts). The pour spout opens and closes well and holds in place. The plastic parts are of high quality solid plastic (except for the top, which is pretty thin, transparent plastic). The borosilicate glass that the base is made of is tough and heat resistant. So I expect it'll last a long time even if it's abused a bit, as long as I'm a bit careful with the top (which is the only part of it that feels a bit flimsy).The top is a nice touch to keep the humidity out. It is also graduated in ml and oz so you can use it as a measuring cup. Even though I can't honestly imagine a situation when I'd need it for that, it is nice that they actually took the time to think about details and implemented something that essentially costs them nothing and could add value to someone.I highly recommend it if you have the need of a shaker that also has a faster, controlled way to pour salt out when needed.

I like this small container. Overall. It is easier to pour from than the typical store paper salt container. It is a bit on the small side, and the plastic lid is a little inconvenient, but other than that, I would recommend it. We did have a problem where my husband dropped this. Salt shaker, and plastic lid cracked, but the rest of it stayed intact.
