Small but perfect

The Lamson masher is smaller than most mashers, but the way the metal head is machined makes it mash better than other mashers. There are many cutouts in the head, with well-defined edges to cut into the potato to make fluffy potatoes quickly and easily. The handle is sturdy, big enough for big hands to get a firm grip, with a full tang running the length of it. I love the compact size for mashing avocado in a small bowl.

Best Masher

Our kitchen has very limited storage space so I began an organizing project with the hope that I could easily find what I needed when I needed it. The utensil drawer was especially troublesome - crammed full and so disorganized. I measured the utensils and the drawer carefully, discarded items I didn't really need, and went to the container store. After installing all the new wonderful separators and containers, I started placing all the utensils into their new homes. But the potato masher - too big - the drawer wouldn't close.So I started looking for a smaller masher but to my dismay, they've grown even larger over the years. So I thought why not give this mini model a try?I just used it for the first time this week - what an amazing difference this masher made to my mashed potatoes. They were so much smoother. The oval head shape gets into all the pot's curves. This masher took far fewer strokes and produced such a superior result. I highly recommend this masher for those with limited space.

Great masher and not just for potatoes. Makes a speedy guacamole. Great for breaking up ground meat in the pan. I also use it for mashing bananas for banana bread. The longer I have it, the more uses I find for it! Small but powerful. Does the job of the bigger guys! Easy to store since it doesn't take up much space.I've been using this several months now and love it even more! I find I am using it far more frequently than I thought. It mashes so effortlessly. I tested it by mashing an avocado with a fork and then with this tool. The tool did the job in a fraction of the time:)
