Pretty good so far..great release. (No spray)
This mold worked out great for some homemade gummies. Had no trouble releasing the gummies. Cleanup was good as well. Very cute bears.
This set includes four large gummy bear molds which make 140 gummy bears total, two droppers, and a little cleaning brush. The silicone molds are food grade, release easily, and are easy to clean. Because they are flexible your best bet is to use a hard tray underneath to prevent spilling. You can use these in the oven, microwave, refrigerator, or freezer to make all sorts of different snacks.
These gummy bear molds are perfect! The 4 pack set lets you make plenty of gummy bears at once, and they’re also great for chocolates, fondant, or even ice cubes. They’re fun to use, very versatile, and have a great design. The molds clean easily and work exactly as expected. Overall, a great value and highly recommended.
I have been using these for the last few weeks to profect homemade fruit gummy bears for the kids. They have stood up so far to sometimes multiple uses a day.We have some successes and some yummy half bears, but I was expecting this on my journey. What I will say is if you put a food product that is going to solidify pretty well, it will pop out of the mold with ease.If your food product is still a little soft, you might cut off some heads of feet in the removal process. They are pretty easy to clean.I air dry them and flip to dry both sides. Each trays size fits about 1/2 liquid cup in all the bears. So about 2 cups total. The colors are bright and the bears are adorable. For a healthier fruit snacks or gummy bear, they will only be fridge stable. However the kids absolutely LOVE trying my different fruit bear creations and ask daily. They have no issue just straight snacking on them. The price is great.Overall a good product I would order again. If you are looking to create some health snacks for you kids, get them!Real fruit blended makes a firmer gummy than just fruit juice. It will come out of the mold easier too.1 cup of chopped fruit (or veggies)1/4 cup of juiceBlendAdd for optional sweetnessSplash of vanilla extract2 tablespoons of honeyBlendHeat slightly on stove to Blend in gelatin3 tablespoons of beef gelatin or plain gelatinMix throughlyDrop or pour into mold(I like to use a dropper and wisk the mix a few times to keep it warm)Refriderate for 2 hoursUsually these have a 5 day shelf life in the fridge.I like to store almost everything in mason jars, so that's how I keep them.(Recipe that came up in my feed and worked for me)The more natural the ingredients, the healthier they become.I also sometimes juice the fruit and add that juice to the fruit I blending.I do this with cuties and they kids like them. They all agree they blended fruit ones taste better. For a shelf stable fruit snacks, look into a recipe that has sugar, corn syrup, preservative or something.I was looking to eliminate these as much as possible and for a healthy alternative. What I found dehydrated fruit leather or fruit roll ups will be the shelf stable fruit we can make.(My next adventure is healthy kid snacks at home)Beef gelatin is the way to go over jello mix and is healthier for you. They are really quick to make and the kids have fun helping!Hope this helps!Happy creating!
I love that you get four trays for a total of 140 gummy bears. I have a small tray and have never used it because it was going to be too time consuming. Having four trays and the droppers makes it quick and easy. I have used silicone molds before, some of them with complicated designs and they always release completely and easily. Don't worry, this is pretty much no fail. There are plenty of recipes on the internet. Just Google gummy bear recipe. There are a lot of them using different ingredients. I used the following:Place molds on a cookie sheet. Then dust the molds with a very light coating of cornstarch or powdered sugar. I used powdered sugar. I use a quality paint brush as my pastry brush.Use one 3 oz box of JelloTwo envelopes of unflavored Knox gelatin for a total of half an ounce. (Four envelopes come to a box.)1/3 cup of water.Combine the three ingredients together in a saucepan over low to medium low heat.Whisk until completely dissolved.Let it cool a bit. Then use the droppers to fill the molds.Place the cookie sheet(s) in the fridge until set. Mine took about 25 minutes. After completely set dust with the molds with either the cornstarch or powdered sugar.Put into a Ziploc bag with powdered sugar or cornstarch and shake until coated to keep from sticking. I do not know how they tasted since I don't like gummy candy but the kids loved them. Some day I'll make some with chocolate.I did two batches because the kiddos wanted cherry and orange. I did two trays at a time because they also wanted gummy flowers and dinosaurs. Now they want me to get a mold for gummy worms.
Cutest, most colorful molds I have owned. Each tray holds about 1/2 cup jello. Can be used in fridge or freezer. Like all silicone molds, product just falls out. Put in dishwasher, no issues though I don't use heat, but doubt that would wreck them. I use silicone cupcake molds in oven with no adverse effects. I highly recommend these as they are perfect bite size snacks.
