Not for kids only a large Bento Lunch Box that works for working adults or school age children both.
Not just for kids this well-made Bento Lunch Box is perfect to take to work and store in the company fridge. Or you can keep it out if you are taking hot stuff. Note the steel interior should not be microwaved, but alone it keeps food fresh warm or cold for at least a few hours to lunch. It could probably use a spork or a small thermos for soup or a hot drink. Given the cost it's fine for what it is. If soup or stew is desired, the seal tight compartments would accommodate that nicely as well. I bought some fancy Bento containers years ago; they looked like large thermoses. they were a little harder to pack and maintain, so I rarely used them for work lunches. I used something similar to this only a cheap and smaller all plastic versions. Which is way I say this is more for adult than kids.Time was you could grab a fast-food meal and bring it back. Today the price is almost prohibitive, so people are making their lunches at home now. You can save money and probably eat better than the fast-food meals you used to eat for lunch. It would be fine for kids lunches as well, and you can make sure they get enough to eat to make it through the school day as its larger, almost by times two than those smallish plastic Bento boxes I've seen. I like this too as it's the color of my favorite sports team. Recommended.

A good size lunch box but it's not entirely leak proof
Bento box is a really good size. With 3 separate sections, it allows me to have a main dish and 2 sides. The stainless steel tray can be easily removed for washing. Although it's dishwasher safe, there's a plastic ring around it so I'll probably just hand wash it.Having an air vent allows for a good air seal when opening/closing the box. Without opening the vent, it's really hard to open. While the air seal is pretty good, it's not entirely leak proof. I filled the containers with water and shook it and water did make it out of the sides. While it'll be fine for normal cases, just be aware that you can have leaks if the box has any sort of liquid and is not laying flat.Not sure why it came with a spork. It's slightly thicker than a disposable one, it doesn't feel all that durable. I don't think it'll last very long. There's also no particular place in the box to put it. I would have been fine if it didn't come with one.I would have liked if it had a handle but no biggie.

I got a new insulated lunchbox and I did that because I wanted one that was large enough to fit 2 bento boxes in. Already had one of these models and loved it. So got another one in a different color, and super, they both fit in the new lunch tote I got! These are great bento boxes, stainless steel, with removable tray for easy cleaning. Super tight compartments so nothing bleeds over into one another when closed and carrying the box sideways or upside down. Feels almost indestructible as its such a tough outside. I love the colors also that they have to choose from. I just put 2 slim icepacks around the sides or bottom when I pack it in the lunch tote and they stay cold. Now I have a couple meals already done when we are on the road. A+ on this one!
