Great quality, larger size, with excellent features!
QUALITY: This is my second EGGIE8BOXX lunch box and they are good quality boxes although the clasps are plastic. My other one still works despite it being 6 months old but I am the only one using it so I don’t know about how it lasts with children.SIZE: The lunchbox itself is a very good or “adult” size. The other one I own is much smaller so be aware of sizing. If you’re looking for a smaller one that is more snack size, they make a smaller version of this. It is identical but with different design fronts and with the same number of divided sections. Since it still has 3 sections, this means each section is much smaller in size. I personally found the other one too small but if you have younger children, I recommend the smaller version as this one is a bit large. The plastic clasps on the large version can also be harder to close.APPEARANCE & FUNCTION: The exterior is plastic but feels quite sturdy and seals fully. The lid and gaskets are shaped to match the divided container so your food will not mix from one section to another. There is a vent hole flap that you can open and close to release pressure which is super necessary if you’re putting in warm food and it suctions closed. You can remove the stainless steel insert and this is helpful to add hot water in the plastic section to warm up your food (since you can’t put stainless steel in the microwave). This actually worked to warm my food up quite nicely. If you remove the insert, you can fit a flat utensil in the bottom.CLEANING: Removing the insert is also necessary to prolong the life of the box since you can put the metal in the dishwasher anywhere but the plastic must be either in the top rack or hand washed. I never allow the plastic to dry in the dishwasher bc it will melt. The gaskets can also be removed for washing but be sure to put them back all the way since it won’t close if you don’t.TDLR: I really like it but be aware of the size since it can be large for younger kids (check out their smaller version). Functions super well with vent flap, divided sections that don’t mix, and removable insert. All parts are removable and clean up nicely.

High Quality Bento Box with great airtight features.
It's a very cute and well designed Bento box! The airtight closure makes it feel extra high quality for the price. I really like the size, it holds just the right amount of food for lunch and the compartments are divided well. It's quite deep so it can fit a good amount of food. The product photos also give an accurate idea of the size.It feels very sturdy and well made, and the airtight feature adds to its quality. Dishwasher safe option makes it super easy to maintain. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a stainless bento box!However, there is one downside. The sealing is a bit loose, which bothers me. Every time I open the bento box, one or more of the seals tends to come off just a little bit. I often have to push them back into the gap to secure them again. What concerns me more is that the loose seals might trap food or make it harder to clean unless I remove them completely. Because of that, I always take the seals off and wash them separately. I'm not sure if the seals are dishwasher safe so I just hand wash them.

Very strong leakproof seal
I've used many bento box containers and not all are truly leakproof. This one most certainly is. It is described as a kids bento but honestly, I wouldn't recommend it for really small kids. Even for me, a grown adult, I had some trouble opening it up...at first, i was afraid that maybe I didn't take off some packing tape on the sides since I couldn't open it but soon realized that there was no tape, just that the seals were super tight & secure. Nothing, i mean nothing, will leak out of any of the compartments.Once I got it open, i did notice that opening pulls the gaskets up slightly...that is how tight the seal is. You just have to remember to push the gaskets back into place before closing. But that's a small price to pay to insure a leakproof box. I'm definitely ok with that.The box comes with a "super spork"...meaning the spork is heavy enough to handle any food without breaking and will be just fine in the dishwasher. The stainless steel insert is easy to clean as well and is the perfect size for my basic lunches.Lastly, what i consider a bonus feature, I found that my thin ice pack fits underneath the tray insert perfectly so I can keep foods cold or at least cool. I don't recall seeing that bit of info in the item description - i may have missed that - but being able to pop in a thin ice pack or soft gel cold pack is lovelyOverall, it is a sturdy piece and should hopefully last me a long time and worth the price.
