I was wrong- this is a great stainless steel strainer!! (WITH UPDATES)
FINAL UPDATE (8/26/24):As you can see from my below initial review and first update, at first, I thought this strainer was not rust-free or dishwasher safe like the product description states. I thought this because after three washes in the dishwasher, my first strainer started to form rust spots at the bottom. But I WAS WRONG! The seller made the effort to reach out to me and, from then on, demonstrated phenomenal customer service. First, they apologized and explained that their number one focus is on quality; that the strainer is, in fact, dishwasher safe; and that the initial product that I received was defective, falling into their small margin of error for quality.They then, without having to send the first strainer back, offered me a full refund and sent me a new one for free so I could see that their product is truly rust free and dishwasher safe. They also followed up via message every step of the way to make sure I was completely satisfied!I received the new strainer this morning. Since then, I have washed it three times in the dishwasher, as that was the number of times I washed the initial product, and the results are FANTASTIC! No rust has formed on the bottom of this new one, showing me that I truly did just have a defective one at first!The photos attached show my new strainer fresh out of the dishwasher after it's third wash vs. the initial, defective strainer I first received after it's third wash.I am so glad I gave this strainer another chance, and so thankful for the fantastic customer service I received! I hope my journey with this strainer really helps if you find yourself in a similar situation because, like I stated in my first review, this is an amazing strainer. I was looking for a stainless steel strainer that was just the right size and depth, and that was dishwasher safe, and this one checks all the boxes!If you are on the fence, don't be! They made the effort to reach out to me and apologize, and offered me a full refund without having to return the product. This shows that they truly do care about their customers and their products.While I'd still like to see the product description updated to reflect the correct information regarding the product (e.g., perhaps stating that the strainer should only be handwashed for best results and removing the claim of it being rust-free), good customer service goes a long way and their dedication to making it right for me is much appreciated!INITIAL REVIEW (8/2/24):This strainer is absolutely not rust-free or dishwasher safe like the product description claims. It's important to note that I bought this on Prime Day, so only a little bit over two weeks ago, and it's already starting to rust (see photos). I've only washed this in the dishwasher three times. Very disappointed because otherwise it was a great strainer and the perfect size.
