I was skeptical about "stone drying mats" (diatomite, specifically), but I am officially a convert. The Vorisebo 24" x 16" mat solved my biggest kitchen pet peeve: that gross, perpetually damp fabric drying mat that always smells a little musty.This mat is fantastic and earns a full five stars for delivering exactly what it promises.
Yes it’s absorbing water very well but it is impossible to clean stains so it is like disposable
Looks beautiful right out of the box, and feels very sturdy and nice, but is VERY prone to staining. I’ve had mine for a few weeks now and it’s covered in permanent stains from every day things like coffee, fruit, milk, ect. I’ve followed all directions and tried my own cleaning methods and the stains do not come out.I wouldn’t purchase unless you are using it for strictly looks
Love this drying mat! In other reviews and even in the instructions, it was noted that the mat would stink initially but that the smell would go away. The smell went away in about 2 weeks after following the care instructions. I won’t use a fabric mat again!
