Love the design, fabric isn’t the best
I’ve been on a search for a perfect Japanese style cross back apron for a while now. I’ve bought mid priced ones from major retailers (e.g. World Market) and I’ve bought a fancy homemade one from Etsy. The Etsy one is way to small (its “one size”) and the material is meh. The World Market one for example has a nice weight material but isn’t quite long enough and is slightly too big (also “one size”). I wasn’t expecting much from this apron, it’s pretty cheap. First advice would be to order 2 to 3 times LARGER size than you think you need. Apron is made in China and seems to use Chinese sizes. When you get the apron the size on the tag may not be the size you ordered but it will be correct.I ordered this apron in the red color. The color seems to be color-fast in the washing machine and its not faded (I hang it to dry, not put it in the dryer as I’m worried it will shrink). It does get very wrinkled unless ironed. The material its made from isn’t the best. It feels cheap. It’s pretty thin and scratchy, even after multiple times being washed. But it does seem to be fairly durable and after about a dozen washes there are no holes or loose threads.I like the length and how high up my chest it sits. I like the high up cross back. I wear a size 40D bra and the 3X size fits ok but its snug across my chest, I couldn’t wear a sweater under it comfortably. In short, for the price its decent. I can forgive the crappy material because I like the design so much. I’m thinking of trying to find someone to recreate this in better quality fabric.

Cute style, worth what you pay.
I was in the process of a return for this item when I decided to keep it. I ordered 2X because I know I want to potentially wear it over sweatshirts/jackets as protection from stains at my job in a manufacturing plant and I wanted full coverage around my bum. That being said, it is HUGE! The straps are very long and the chest area is extremely wide. It’s unwearable as is to me - my body shape is quite pear, so I’m big on the bottom and slim on the top. In my opinion it doesn’t run small and I would recommend ordering true to size. If I was buying it for around my kitchen I’d probably even order large or medium (just so the straps are short enough) and I’m 5’6”, 195lbs. I decided to keep it because it’s a fairly simple design that I can alter myself easily. Im going to shorten the straps and take it in around the chest leaving a pleat. Overall, I liked the simplicity, lightweight fabric and color of this item and found it to be worth what I paid. I think it’s good for light protection around the house for cooking, cleaning, art or other projects.

Provides coverage from paint drips/cooking splatters
This apron is very roomy and fits over my clothes easily while painting. While it isn't the most flattering fit (not supposed to be), it does provide coverage and the large pockets are great if using for gardening for carrying around objects like a phone, tissues, small water bottle, etc. Because they are so reasonably priced I purchased 2, one in this light sage green and one in olive. Honestly, even for a hospital stay this provides more coverage than those skimpy gowns. Stick a few Velcro dots on the back and it will remain securely closed. Just a thought...

Product is not true to size. I ordered a 2X and it does not wrap completely around. Other than that it's comfortable and easy to work in. Large pockets are really handy.

Makes Me Feel Like a True Homemaker
I adore this apron! Not only is it affordable, it’s such a nice quality. I’ve washed it countless times and it still looks new only softer. It’s been the perfect fit, even when I was 9 months pregnant. The fabric is thin and breathable so you don’t over heat while wearing it and the pockets are massive so you can store whatever you need in them. The only thing to note is it’s not adjustable —again it fit me throughout pregnancy so it hasn’t been an issue for me, but if you had a larger chest it may be problematic.
