Well made!
It's a good thing this bowl is sturdy. I had to hit the tab on the side of the bowl to break it from the stand. I even let the bowl defrost and still couldn't get the bowl loose. I didn't take a start off because I don't know if it was just me or something to do with the bowl. It worked great at making the ice cream and very easy to use. I can't wait to try more flavors. For my first flavor I did a coconut milk and ube flavor. Yum!

Well worth the money and I love it!
It was perfect. I had an ice cream attachment from Kitchen Aide from many, many years ago, still worked, but this new ice cream maker, has a better piece that attached to the mixer head.

KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment
I am absolutely thrilled with this Ice Cream Maker Attachment for my KitchenAid stand mixer! If you love homemade desserts, this is one of the best accessories you can add to your kitchen. The 2-quart bowl freezes fast and stays cold long enough to make perfectly smooth ice cream, sorbets, and gelato. I was impressed with how quickly it churned my mixture into a creamy, delicious batch—no clumps, no icy texture, just pure perfection. It also fits my 5QT mixer perfectly, and I love that it works with 4.5QT and 6QT models too.Installation was incredibly simple. I just froze the bowl overnight, attached the dasher, and let my mixer do the work. Cleanup was just as easy. The materials feel sturdy and well-made, and the bowl maintains its chill amazingly well.I’ve already made vanilla bean, strawberry sorbet, and a rich chocolate gelato, and every single batch came out better than store-bought. This attachment has definitely upgraded dessert nights in my house! If you own a KitchenAid mixer and want to enjoy fresh, homemade ice cream whenever you want, this attachment is 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

Homemade Ice Cream Delight!
Fun and Easy Homemade Ice Cream — With a Few LimitationsThis ice cream maker attachment has been a great addition to my KitchenAid setup. It’s a fun way to make homemade frozen treats, and the results have been consistently tasty. That said, there are a few things to keep in mind before buying.PerformanceOnce properly frozen, the bowl churns ice cream smoothly and efficiently. I’ve made several batches of vanilla, chocolate, and fruit-based recipes, and the texture has been creamy and well-aerated. It takes about 20–30 minutes to churn a batch, depending on the recipe and room temperature.Compatibility & SetupIt fits my KitchenAid stand mixer perfectly and installs easily. The included dasher works well to scrape the sides and keep the mixture moving. Just make sure your mixer model is compatible—some older models may require a different attachment arm.Freezing TimeThe biggest limitation is the bowl’s freezing requirement. You need to freeze it for at least 15 hours before use, which means you have to plan ahead. If you’re hoping to make ice cream on a whim, this isn’t ideal. I’ve started keeping the bowl in the freezer full-time so it’s always ready.CleaningCleanup is straightforward. The bowl should be hand-washed and dried thoroughly before refreezing. The dasher and adapter are easy to rinse off.Final ThoughtsThis attachment is a great value for anyone who already owns a KitchenAid mixer and wants to experiment with homemade ice cream, sorbet, or frozen yogurt. It’s not as fast or flexible as a standalone compressor-style ice cream maker, but it’s perfect for casual use and delivers delicious results.I’m giving it 4 stars mainly due to the long freezing time and the need for advance planning. Otherwise, it’s a solid performer and a fun way to elevate your dessert game.

Easy to Use, Fun, and Makes Delicious Homemade Ice Cream
This ice cream maker attachment is a fantastic addition for any KitchenAid mixer owner. It’s easy to use, fits perfectly onto the mixer, and produces smooth, creamy ice cream in under 30 minutes. The 2-quart capacity is great for families and makes enough for everyone without taking up too much freezer space. The bowl is sturdy and well-made, with a thick insulated design that freezes evenly. I let it chill overnight before using, and it stayed cold the entire time while churning. The attachment locks securely into the mixer, and setup only takes a minute. The paddle mixes the ingredients efficiently for ice cream, sorbet, or gelato with a perfectly creamy texture.Cleanup is simple—just rinse the paddle and wipe down the bowl once it’s thawed. I also appreciate that it’s compatible with multiple KitchenAid sizes (4.5–6QT), so it works well even if you have an older mixer model.I’ve already made vanilla, strawberry, and coffee ice cream, and the results are better than store-bought. The texture is light and silky, and you can easily customize the flavor with mix-ins like chocolate chips or fruit.Tip: Freeze the bowl for at least 16–24 hours before use for the best consistency. Chill your ingredients ahead of time too for a faster churn and creamier result.
