This is wonderful if you have difficulty opening jars. From less than an inch to a pickle jar lid, it works well. Hold with two hands to give a strong turn. It's invisible under our cabinet, and always accessible. I have used it frequently since it was installed last year by our agile son-in-law. (Our daughter thought is was a great idea so had him install one at their home too!)
Title pretty much says it. Sticky pads hold up the opener to facilitate screw mount. No more struggling with grip pads while I use my knees to also so hold the jar. Old folks would starve without some help.
Great jar opener no both knows about! I rented an apartment that had this installed under an upper cabinet. It was so easy to just stick the jar between the teeth and turn and the jar came open. Did not have to use one hand to hold the jar, thus increased the available strength! If you do not move a lot, get this installed. It is usually invisible, depending on how the cabinet is designed.
Bought to replace motorized jar opener that when needed always needed batteries. Installed under cabinet and when needed has not failed, easy to use.
I swear they're gluing jar lids and bottle caps on these days, or perhaps I'm not as strong as I used to be? Regardless, this undercounter lid opener has been exactly what I needed . . . leverage, grip, and less physical strength required to open any stubborn lid or cap. No longer necessary to bang a jar on the floor or contort my body to leverage opening a stubborn lid . . . it's AWESOME!!! Works on any size lid, large or small, that fits into the V size of the gripper, which is appropriately sized for everything I've used it for, so far. I mounted it below one of my cabinets. Highly recommend!!!

Without a doubt it is a 5 star. Was getting unable to open most lids and my goto hubby starting to have trouble too. And so often he's not around. Inexpensive... heavy duty metal and easy to use. Invisible under the cabinet. Highly recommend.
