Bought as an anniversary gift and it was worth every penny! The leather is thick and of good quality, it makes traveling with your kitchen knives safe. It can fit up to two knives with ease and keeps knives sharp and safe with its easy to grip design.

This is sturdy, thick leather that will safely store a knife. The stitching is tight, so I don't see the knife cutting through it without considerable force. The thong to wrap around doesn't have a buckle or any other form of closure, but from what I've seen, that's standard (this is admittedly my first chef's knife holder) sheath. There is some kind of printing inside the sheath on the suede side that I'm assuming means something to the manufacturer. It arrives in a utilitarian cellophane and tape wrapper that frankly makes it look cheap - definitely remove that if you're gifting.The only reason I removed a star is that the price is unjustifiably high in my mind. There is nothing special about this that would warrant the price. It a chunky weight of industrial-quality leather (i.e. not fine grade, but good and solid), but nothing that would establish an almost $30 price in my mind - I just can't see the justification. If it were made in America or another country where employees are paid more, I'd happily pay that, but for an Asian import item, that money is not going to the workers. I usually don't deduct stars for cost, but at double what I'd expect to pay, it's extreme overpricing to me.
Great quality had a pretty decent price. This fit my custom life perfectly …. very happy.
