The placemats are a lovely informal touch to our dining room table. The instructions stating it is hand wash oly are accurate. I am a trial by fire person when it comes to laundry, so I tossed these into wash bags and put them through the washer. They faired decently, but the fringe matted and frayed. I'll be spending some time trimming up the fringe that got pulled out and combing out the tangled/fuzzy mess.Final verdict is these are pretty nice for the price, though I doubt these last long in our house as unwashable placemats. So maybe only consider these if you aren't planning to use them around food... Or anything that might necessitate a wash.

Gorgeous Color
Using this as a fabric 'bar menu' at my wedding. The color is very true to how it is depicted online. A gorgeous cross between a chartreuse and an olive (in my opinion). The fabric is good quality, thick but not scratchy.
