Great little knife!

I bought this for lettuce and that's the only thing I've used it on. Metal knives will turn lettuce brown and/or red where the cuts are very fast, leading to spoilage. This plastic knife does a good job cutting and the lettuce stays fresher longer. The other alternative is just tearing the lettuce leaves apart, which is ok if it just one salad for you and you don't mind the work and look. But for making a batch that serves other and is used during several meals over the course of a week, the knife saves time and does a nice job. I've only used this on Romain lettuce, and some spinach leaves. I would think it would work on other varieties of lettuce too. I don't know if it could cut a head of head lettuce in half, I've not tried that. But it does cut through the base of a Romain bunch.

It's Plastic, It Goes In The Dishwasher

It does cut pizza, though not easily, it's plastic. It goes in the top rack of the dishwasher and doesn't melt. But, for some reason I expected more from an $8 knife.
