Perfect fit for the Barista Express Impress
(WalnutV2Fusion, 54mm)I bought this for my Breville Barista Express Impress (BES876) and I’m really impressed. I was worried about compatibility, but it fits the machine perfectly and works flawlessly. The build quality is excellent - it is heavyweight and feels much more premium than the stock portafilter. The walnut handle is a great touch. Overall, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade their setup.

Solid, weighty and nice details
Perfect compatibility with my Gaggia and works well with IMS baskets I already had. Weight is very solid and overall feel is a nice improvement from the stock Gaggia portafilter.

Maple Fusion handle is HEAVIER than stock Breville portafilter.
If there is anyone who is pedantic and nerdy about weight and feel, it’s me.I have been searching for a portafilter that was bottomless but was just as heavy or heavier than my Breville Barista Touch Impress. I’m a coffee guy but I have a consumer machine (but it is just as powerful as the Barista Pro when used on manual mode). I love the feeling of the Breville branded portafilters but even their own Naked Portafilter comes in a couple ounces lighter than their stock spouted Portafilter.Look NO further than the LILQ. On the scale, it weighs in at 514g. The breville is 456g. it is 62g (2oz) HEAVIER than the one that comes with the machine. It is also longer! I got the maple fusion model because maple is significantly more dense than walnut, and the handle material also includes stainless steel. I wanted to maximize weight. The basket that comes with it appears to be of high quality. I used my microscope and couldn’t find any differences in milling between this one and the stock breville basket (which punches far above its weight class in quality, don’t be fooled.) But the taper on the side is much less so be ready to use more coffee in the portafilter. Remember, every basket and every coffee even if it is a “18g” basket will require its own volumetric amount. Darker roasts will be much less in grams than light roasts because of the density of the bean.Overall, great product. Very happy with my purchase. Heavy, solid, and comes with a great basket. And room in the bottom for a larger IMS like I’m planning on getting. Great work LILQ!

Doesn’t fit breville oracle touch group - see UPDATE
The quality is quite good, I like the look too. The only problem is it doesn’t lock in Breville oracle touch group.I can move it just a very little and it gets completely stuck.I don’t want to break my brand new and very expensive machine, hence I had to return it.UPDATE from 11/15/2025:I was contacted by the LILQ customer service (Will) and they sent me a replacement item right away.I guess the first one i got was defective, because the new one does get into the group almost the same as OEM one.Switching the included basket with the OEM one makes it better. i can not try it now, too late for the coffee, but will try and update it tomorrow morning. Upgraded from 2 stars to 4 due to good fitting. new update will follow !!!Update from 11/16/2025As planned I tested a new portafilter today. After multiple runs I can confirm what other reviewers said - the portafilter itself is a quality made, looks good and works as supposed to. The basket on another hand is looking good but doesn’t perform. Portafilter with OEM basket works very good, but with basket provided it produces channeling.if not a basket it would deserve 5 stars. Conclusion:Portafilter looks and feels nice, performs very good and I will definitely use it, but with the OEM basket.

Feels Premium compared to other portafilters
So I recently upgraded my espresso machine from 54 mm Breville to 58 mm E61 and wanted a bottomless portafilter. My machine is a Turin Gallatin R for reference.I tried 3 different brands (Normcore, MHW-3BOMBER) and this is the only one that fit well. The ears are curved just like my OEM portafilter and I am able to lock this in place one handed. This portafilter has some weight to it and feels very premium. It's even heavier than the OEM spouted portafilter that came with the machine and feels great to hold and use.I was a little skeptical about the basket that it came with because in the past, I tried several baskets and I liked the IMS basket the best, but the basket that comes with this portafilter seems good. No uneven extraction. The product feels very robust, but I can't comment on long-term durability yet.Cleaning the portafilter is easy. I rinse it with warm water and run a blank shot, and boom, it's clean as new.The basket holds about 17.3 grams of coffee grounds easily, but I think you can't do more than 18 grams in this basket, but I have ordered a 20g capacity IMS basket.I love using a bottomless portafilter to look at the extraction to ensure that the espresso tastes great. If you are looking for a premium portafilter at a non-premium price, I would recommend that you try this.

Love It with my Breville Barista Express
After dialing things in properly, this portafilter is a keeper. The build quality is excellent — solid, nicely weighted, and very well made. It looks great on the machine and feels like a premium piece of gear. At first, I experienced some light espresso spray when pulling shots on my Breville Barista Express, which I initially suspected was a portafilter issue.Turns out, it was user error. I adjusted my grind setting just a notch finer, and the problem disappeared. Shots are now clean, consistent, and dialed in exactly how they should be. This portafilter works great once properly tuned, and I’m keeping it. Highly recommend it.

Doesn't fit Breville Bambino Plus
Very nice portafilter — solid and heavy — but unfortunately it did not fit my Breville Bambino Plus.
